If I am not wrong, The wiki?should have a page with a step by step how to install the latest windows version (python3) with msys which I followed not many weeks ago to reinstall and I think it was quite straight forward.
The former python2 version of drats 0.3.9 is available as a zip from the GitHub and doesn’t require an install, just decompress it in a folder of your choice.
Going forward there will be no updates from me on python2 version, but for time being it’s still working and can dialogue with newer one.
Both versions are available as python code for Linux, you off course need to fulfill the dependencies, older un-updated systems will probably work easier with python2, newer with python3 (0.4.x).?
Once installed drats client, in every case of Linux or windows, you will need to configure it at minimum with?your call sign? and?to your preferred ratflector and “optionally” to radio setup (in my case ic2820 via usb to serial with 2.5mm pin)
Ratflectors are usually configured with a public ip address and ?to respond on port 9000.
On GitHub?there is a list of known ratflectors, consider that there is no link between them, so you need to choose one where there is a bit of other users connected if you want to get some reply to chat.
In general you don’t need to setup a ratflector, unless you want to provide this as a service to other users.
