You might want to check to make sure that the radio is not somehow set to “Fast Data” mode.??This is a feature of the newer D-Star radios.??In order for the radios to be able to communicate properly, both must be set to the same data mode.??And, off-hand, I don’t know for sure if D-Rats can function in Fast Data mode.??As you already know, the baud rate between the computer and radio must be set to the proper rate.??Here are the settings for the earlier radios.??I assume the newer HT models will hold to the 9600 baud that the newer radios standardized to.??The settings that need to be turned off are in the Menu under the GPS settings.
