I HAVE THE ICOM 51 A+ ANNIVERSARY EDITION AND IF I HAVE BEEN USING THE RADIO WITH FL DIGI, AND I GO BACK TO D-STAR, SOMETIMES IT DOES THE SAME THING. I HAVE A MACRO SET UP FOR FOR FL DIGI AND IF THAT HAS RECENTLY BEEN USED AND NOT SWITCHED TO MORE NORMAL MODES LIKE CW, THE RADIO WON'T KEY. ALSO IF THE CABLE IS STILL CONNECTED TO THE COMPUTER THAT HAPPENS. DON'T KNOW IF THIS WILL HELP AT ALL, I'VE HAD A RED FACE MORE THAN ONCE BEFORE I KEYED AND NOTHING HAPPENED.?

I've checked my radio settings as per this thread, the radio via the computer will not key up.

If I use DRATS with my ICOM 92AD, works fine, of course, I had to use the special Icom cable with usb-rs-232 adaptor, so I know everything on the computer side is good.

Is there such a thing as setting the radio back to factory defaults, as I don't know what settings the owner did.

I've got a full head of hair right now, but it isn't going to last long as I keep pulling it out, I've spent lots of hours on this thing.? The only thing I didn't do is look at the RS-232 voltages going into and from the radio.
