Re: position reporting

The St. Tammany ratflector is running 0.3.9 on a Raspberry Pi.??One thing I know about both of these ratflectors is that we are running a program called aprx so that every time one of the stations sends out a GPS position report the information gets captured and sent out to the aprs.fi system.??

I rebooted the machine and did NOT LOAD the aprx software and tried to get position reports from all stations currently logged into just that ratflector.??It worked as designed.??I never noticed the problem before because I routinely monitor 4 or 5 ratflectors at a time and since a number of us do that (because of the low number of folks on these days) the position reports make it through from the other ratflectors.

We had been starting APRX first, then bringing up the d-rats repeater, then the client Mail & File Server.??It looks like if I start the APRX program AFTER the repeater software it will do both.??So, I have reconfigured by starting the ratflector, then the client, then APRX and it looks like it is both sending positions to D-Rats and to APRS.FI.??Let me know if that fixes things.

Hi all

I was doing some test in these days and i noted that the feature to query positions seems to be working only on some ratflectors and not on other where i recall it was working in the past.

in particular on and it's not working

while on ?it is.

this applies to both Query station position" and "query all positions"

maybe someone here knwons?which ratflectors versions are running on those system?
