We would always have a licensed control operator on board, so we should be covered as far as the FCC is concerned.?? I think when I posted this I was thinking more along the lines of the call sign that is put in D-RATS.?? In this case we would be using a tactical call sign that is somehow tied to the county's MCV, and I assume that would be ok.?

The only place where we could get into trouble is, as you said, if we are operating without a licensed control operator.
