Double check the following under your GPS settings in Preferences.??Make sure you are telling D-Rats the right Comm Port that the GPS unit is connected to and then make sure the baud rate for the unit is correct.??Some GPS units operate at 4800 baud and others at 9600.??If the wrong rate is input, D-Rats won’t be able to talk to the GPS.??I have run GPS/Glonas units, the little white dongles, on my set-up and they work every time.??Those run at 9600.??I have also used mag mount GPS receivers with equal success.??
Another problem, if you often unplug and replug USB cables a lot of times the Comm Port assignments will get changed on Windows machines.??Today, the GPS is showing it is on COMM 5, but disconnect a few cables and now Windows says it is on COMM 3.??Go to the Device Manager and check to see which Comm Port the GPS is registered on.
