I managed to set up ratflector on one PC which is connected to the 44 network (ham radio)
and in that rafflector also include the Internet d-rats server.
?
Then from a remote PC also connected over the 44 network run d-rats client, I pointed it to the 44 IP address of the above station, made a connection and was able to send a *Ping All* and get a list of all stations on the Internet side.
?
I was then able to chat to a remote station in near real time (no delays) send and rx mail and all other features worked no issues at all.
?
I then found another user who was connected via:-? PC--d-star radio--d-star repeater--Ratflector--d-rats server
So the full Monty of?D-star connection to d-rats.
?
So It will work....?Could this be the savior of packet radio and the ampr net?
?
Next tests will be to see if I can cross e-mail between the 2 systems...
?
Also want to see if a d-star hot-spot will allow data to be transmitted with no radio using the rat-flector?
