Bluetooth bt401 6
Hello, I have modified my adx-s to install the bt401 module, but I have the problem that it is not bidirectional, when changing the ft8cn software to TX the bt401 module does not send the audio to the adx. Should I configure something else in the bt401? Thanks

New CR-1,2,3 Kits for Kids 7
Guys, Merry Christmas! Now you can see the photos of the whole set of three (forget about the new camera battery and charger): https://mp.weixin./s/5zesl24Ep2nl-IKftKl8yg The kits are co-designed with a teacher in Beijing for youngsters in China for regional and national contests. We are glad to offer kits to our group members as well. CR-1: Audio Morse code trainer with volume and tone controls (the on-board speaker is not a part of the kit) CR-2: FM transmitter of 87.5-88.7 MHz, five frequencies, and it can sit on top of the CR-1 to support voice or morse code transmission. Without the external antenna, it can transmit to the next room CR-3: FM receiver in two modes, one for general coverage of 87-108 MHz, and the other is for 87-89MHz to work with CR-2 (a wire antenna is supplied, but the on-board speaker is not a part of the kit) The PCB size is 60 x 90 mm. The early bird price is 45 USD for all 3 kits including air shipping. I can ship in 2 weeks before Chinese New Year. The next batch will be after the new year holiday. Please PayPal directly to rongxh@... and leave your ship to address and telephone number. If you wish to buy 2 kits, the price is 88 USD. Thanks, Adam

13TR: 6 kits left before EOL 10
Guys, I have decided to reduce SKU to focus on key kit products. I have 6 13TR kits (1 is ready, 5 to prepare) left before EOL. You will enjoy the classic circuit based on the design of VK3YE's Knobless Wonder. Also, CPK-2 (DC receiver based on NE602 and LM386) will be EOL soon as well. http://crkits.com Thanks, Adam

Morse trainer kit? 10
Guys, I just developed a new board kit for a domestic customer and I am wondering if you guys will be interested as well. It draws 13 mA and 4x AAA size batteries will last quite long time. You can adjust tone from 600 to 1000 Hz and volume as well. You can plug in headphone or connect a small speaker. The buzzer will not be a part of the kit for worldwide as it is magnetic. Thanks, Adam

How to measure output CPK-4 6
I build the CPK-4. It works very good! Not too chirpy. While adjusting the frequency I blew the 100uH inductor. Today I received some spares and fixed the transmitter. Does anyone know how to measure the output power with a multimeter?

CPK4
I have made several contacts with my 20 m cpk-4 transmitter. I will spend more time and plan to make some great contacts. 9 volts and dipole Wayne F. Steury, N9EGT western Colorado

SSB6.1 kit info 6
Folks, I got more info about SSB6.1 now. It is a 6-band SSB transceiver board kit supplied by a Chinese ham BD7JPY, with many SMD parts and several through hole parts as well. It needs to work with a VFO like DDS module and a linear power amplifier as it outputs about 50-mV RF for transmission. Right now, he can provide two types of DDS modules in limited quantity. No more power amps nor chassises. Reference material is very limited. No instructions or manuals but a schematic and a PCB silkscreen drawing. A reseller (not ham) is reselling this kit to worldwide through eBay and the price is low considering it is a 6-bander. I have purchased a sample and will do some evaluation. If it turns out to be promising, I can provide a limited quantity to the subscribers to this group, so we can build along. Let me know if it is a good idea. Thanks, Adam

QRPBuilder new products
Gang, QRPBuilder is announcing two new paddles. They are an iambic and single lever design similar to our other paddles, but are attached to your project by neodymium magnets, and can be moved from radio to radio, or removed for storage or transportation. https://qrpbuilder.com/magnetic-iambic-paddle https://qrpbuilder.com/magnetic-single-lever-paddle 73, Ken – wa4mnt

ADX-S IF Adjustment 5
Hi Adam, Besides the enjoyment I get from doing the assembly, your kits also give me the opportunity to learn more about how receivers, transmitters and their software work. I've been studying the ADX-S to understand it better and find it's very interesting. The ADX-S v2 manual states: Since the ceramic filter has tolerance on bandwidth and center frequency, it is better that you fine tune your own beat frequency, so you can get higher SNR and less interference. In order to do so, you do a search in the source code and you will find two different beat frequencies. One is 460570, the other is 449430. For now, 449430 is only for 20 meter band. Adjust them at 500-1kHz step and compare with the default setting, so you will get the best value for your kit. Can you suggest the best way to evaluate the highest SNR and lowest interference when adjusting the IF's? For example, could I supply the ADX-S with RF from a signal generator then peak the IF for strongest output as seen on a WSJT-X waterfall? Please tell me the method you would use. Thank you, John L. 2 CPK-4 plus an AM radio make a complete station 13
Guys, CPK-4 can work with a SSB receiver to make a complete station. If you just have an AM radio receiver, you can consider 2 CPK-4. Photo: https://crkits.com/cpk4.jpg Take 7030 kHz as an example, you can tune your AM radio receiver to 7030 first. You can use the whip antenna or a separate wire antenna. You should hear no CW signal. Power up one CPK-4, set the jumper to GND and fune tune the trimmer capacitor to keep it oscillating at 7030.7 kHz. Adjust the distance between this CPK-4 and the AM radio receiver to receive some signal. If you put them too close, the AGC will suppress the incoming signal too much, so you should put a bit far away so you can hear the signals in some background noise. Now, you can power up another CPK-4 as TX. Set the jumper to KEY, fine tune the trimmer capacitor so you can transmit on 7030 kHz and connect a dedicated resonant antenna for TX. Now, it is ready to grab some QSOs! Thanks, Adam

Add a small shipping charge
Guys, I will update the price to add a small shipping charge to compensate the stronger CNY over USD. If you purchase more than 1 pcs of the same model, the shipping charge will not increase. It helps save a bit if you purchase together with your friend. Thanks for your understanding. It will be effective in the following days around Oct. 7. ADX-S V2 Supply Voltage Question 2
Hello Adam, The documentation for the ADX-S DC Vin says the barrel connector (on the rear) has an acceptable voltage range of 10-12 volts, with 12.6 volts being absolute maximum. I presume the upper limit is recommended to keep from quickly overheating the BS-170 MOSFET's and prevent damage to the Vin pin on the Arduino Nano. But why isn't the acceptable lower voltage limit less than 10 volts? I ask because the minimum recommended voltage for the Vin pin on the Arduino Nano is only 7 volts, and even 6 volts is still supposed to be acceptable for operation. I looked over the schematic and don't see any components that require a minimum of 10 volts. Since we can operate the entire ADX-S using only 5 volts when via the micro-USB connector on the Arduino Nano, so I don't understand why there's a 10 volt lower limit specified for the barrel connector on the rear of the ADX-S. Am I missing something? Thank you, John AA7US
