Re: CPK-3 SMD pre-assembled
The trick to mounting a SMT IC like that is to tack solder one of the pins when wiggling it into place.? Once it's straight on the board, you want to tack a second pin.? Ugly is fine.? Then

CPK-3 SMD pre-assembled
Guys, During the holiday, I have prepared some CPK-3 KT Receiver kits with SMD part pre-assembled. For those who are reluctant to solder SMD parts, you can consider this kit at 16 USD (14.5 USD + 1.5

Just updated the web site
Guys, As Spring comes for the most of the world, it is a good idea to do some ARDF kit building and fox hunting. I just updated the photos and some info about R3500D kit at: http://crkits.com Thanks,

Re: New year of dragon
Tim, Good luck. Take care not to short the 5V to GND as the on board 5V regulator does not have the short circuit protection. Don¡¯t touch any of the pins of Arduino. Build along the modified parts.

Re: New year of dragon
Thanks Matt. The publisher likes your article indeed. One of the local school teachers contacted me for a possible class using the CPK-3 kits. He said, it would be good to bring the kit assembly back

Re: Step #3 help from assembly manual ADX-S kit
Tim, Please make sure your test points are aligned. If you still get 12V on 5V test point, please contact me for solutions offline. Thanks, Adam

Re: New year of dragon
Hi Adam, Good News, a new Articel (from me) about the cpk-3 will be published in August 2024. I think the publishers of the CQ-DL like your KITs. This year we have the year of education and? young

Re: Step #3 help from assembly manual ADX-S kit
Adam, Yes the light on the nano is lit no problem there. Ok, like to know how the 5v regulator isn't working, followed the assembly manual to the letter, so guess I'll have to see if can unsolder

Re: Step #3 help from assembly manual ADX-S kit
Hi Tim, There are two regulators on the Arduino Nano board. One is 5V and the other is 3.3V. It looks like your 5V regulator is damaged, but 3.3V regulator is okay. With 12V on C1, can you still see

Step #3 help from assembly manual ADX-S kit
Up to testing step #3, testing voltage on + pad of C1, and I get 12v, not 4.93, but I do get 3.41v of left pin of R1, is something wrong here?

Re: Drift on a new ADX build
Adam, if you come up with some sort of TXCO daughter board, I would likely take ten of them, honestly.? I have a lot of projects that use si5351 boards and have long wondered why this hasn't been
