Hi Tim,
There are two regulators on the Arduino Nano board. One is 5V and
the other is 3.3V.
It looks like your 5V regulator is damaged, but 3.3V regulator is
okay. With 12V on C1, can you still see LED is lit on the Arduino
Nano module?
You should be able to proceed with the building still, but you
only can power the radio with USB port now. The RF output will be
limited to a few hundreds of mW.
The fix is to replace the module, or you can try to add an
external regulator like this blog if it applies to your situation.
