Re: Spacer too short and hole in the box

Hello Adam
You would have to check whether everything can be implemented.
I would first use the TCXO and then the 455Khz ceramic filter.
Everything else could cause problems because a lot has to be changed in the Area of the Band modules and the motherboard
to implement? module detecetion and FT37-43 swapping for the output stage.
?
So for me, the TCXO and the ceramic filter
would be enough for now
?
Weren't there once topics with pictures where you?
the model of WB2CBA rebuilt?
?
and sorry for my translator english
?

Hi Bernd,

Thanks. I will double check my stock this weekend.

I am willing to offer an upgrade kit for ADX to ADX-S V2. Please suggest the content of the upgrade kit.

Thanks,

Adam

Hello Adam
I simply replaced the spacers with slightly longer ones. You could also put washers under the threaded bolts. With the original spacers, the circuit board would bend.?
I don't need a new box, I use the ADX open.

Are there circuit boards available, I still have two original ADXs from WB2CBA that I would like to convert or can the original ones be converted to ADX-S VII?
?
Thanks Bernd

Hi Bernd,

Thanks for your feedback. The spacer is truly tight due to the height constraints of the box. And the box is plastic so it is easily broken which I have included in the manual. I will be glad to ship a new box if you wish.

Hello
I assembled my ADX-S V2 yesterday.
I realized that the spacers between the?

The BNC socket is too high, about 2mm distance is missing

The hole in the box was created by the corners of the circuit boards
The transportation to Germany was apparently too heavy

CQ-DL CPK-3 article and order fulfillment

Guys,

A few days ago Matt surprised me that he published a two page article about CPK-3 named World Receiver in a Match Box on CQ-DL, the amateur radio magazine in Germany. It is so popular that I have to work hard last weekend to fulfill the orders from Germany. Good news is I have shipped all earlier today. Thanks Matt for the article and the support from Germany. I hope you enjoy the minimalist world receiver kit.

Thanks,
Adam

Matt,

There are several Arduino Nano modules available in the market. Some of them are using relatively smaller LDO regulator IC and it is not a good idea for our purpose. With the addition of the Bluetooth module, the LDO will output around 120mA during TX. It is very hot if you use higher than 12.6V power supply, especially in summer.

Also, it is critical to avoid RFI, if your antenna is very nearby. Even QRP power will cause abnormal behavior.

Thanks,

Adam

The key is the C25. It helps eliminate the strong RF feedback. If your PCB does have the pads for C25, you can solder a 104 under R18. Thanks to JE1RAV who reported this issue.
