Adam, would you tell us what the third column for CPK-3 means in the chart?? Usually it reads 50 Khz, 100, 1, 5, 9 etc???

Adam instead of mucking around with? it works but it produces cruddy audio but at least? an 8 yr old an? put it together designs .
Why not? get a version of the Taurus SSB /CW rx monobander sorted out . it will work ONLY with? the MC3362 and since it is varactor tuned it will wander. However the Audio it will produce in SSB Mode is commercial quality.? it basically needs the chip,? a? BPF using two slug tuned coils ,? 3 xtals well matched at 10 Mhz for the IF,? a? BFO xtal and some audio system.? The base design has agc included. RF agc . There is one vendor selling it for? about 26 USD out of? India.? He sells only one frequency.
These have really superior? sensitivity too.? The original design is Polish I think. It's easy to find on the internet. if you can't find it , email me.
With a bit of work and some? switching you could have stackable RF decks and a? parent board that has one RF band plus the audio amp.?
If sold without the speaker it's easily possible to kit it and make a profit at around USD 22 I would have thought.

One possibility could be an option where the oscillator is permanently on and only the PA is keyed.?
That could allow use with a CPK-3 receiver or others that don't have their own BFO.?
You will however need to provide some form of frequency offset, eg by switching in extra capacitance in the crystal oscillator circuit. The CAL switch could even be used for that if rewired.?

Regarding the BFO, I use a simple generator for brief testing of some receivers. It is an antenna analyzer and can be seen at .
I also received the kit and I think I will install it at the weekend. After that, I will do some tests and come back.
