Colla,
Sorry for replying late. Check if you have swapped Q5 and Q6. 2N3906 and 3904 are very similar looking. 在 2019年10月14日,上午7:48,Dr. Pedro E. Colla (LU7DID) < lu7did@...> 写道:

Hi,
Building the D4D at Step 2 WITH the MOD on pag 25 implemented when testing the step upon powering the circuit the relay clicks but the amber LED goes and stays on.
On previous STEP 1 testing the green LED went ON correctly.
Any hint?

Folks,
It is BG5JNT’s FB project. He built many projects based on my Choc perfboard and SST is his latest one. Nice design from NorCal in late 1990’s.
Thanks, Adam

Re: Sandwich for 40m KN-Q7A
There are a few sandwich kits available from QRVTronics.com.? There is also an option for a frequency display for a few bucks more.??

I have a 40m KN-Q7A that has been shelved for a while. I see there was an excellent looking kit called Sandwich VFO that greatly enhances the radio but shows as sold out. Is there a plan to re-introduce either the kit or the assembled module in the future?
Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback. GQRP is really an international club with a long history. I believe more Chinese QRPer will consider joining after my introduction.
Thanks, Adam

Folks,
I just joined the GQRP club and it turned out that I am the first one from China. The SPRAT member quarterly journal is very nice. Let me know if you are also a member.
Thanks,

Re: New Record: D4D QSO Distance
Announcement:
I already sent a 40m D4D kit to BG7IKK as the Q3 contest 1st place award.
Thanks, Adam

Re: New Record: D4D QSO Distance
Guys,
The contest is still on. If you have better results than 13499km, please submit before September 30. The award is a D4D kit and you can define the band.
Thanks, Adam

My comments regarding QRPGuys DSB Digital Transceiver
Guys,
I sent a post here. I appreciate the support of my original concept and wish good luck to QRPGuys on the commercial aspect.

Re: Rewind your Mini Wire Antenna
Bret,
I mean the former. Actually there is a thicker sized toroid and you can purchase from mouser.

Hi Adam - do you mean stack two FT-82-43 on top of one another to make a thicker “O” and winding around both? Or winding each individually and putting them in parallel?

Guys,
As a post holiday project, I made a universal VXO. 在 2019年9月16日,上午8:24,Adam Rong via Groups.Io < rongxh@...> 写道:

Guys,
I made another simple project, a regenerative receiver to cover 7-16 MHz. The specialty of this circuit is that a readily available shielded coil is used. The original is FCZ series, while my replacement is DIY7-14. It worked great. In the following article, I explained that I have changed the power supply to 4x AA sized Ni-MH batteries to make about 5V, so I can save a regulator 78L05, and 5V can power LM386 too. Also, I used varicap diodes instead of varicaps.
Thanks, Adam 在 2019年9月14日,上午9:03,Adam Rong via Groups.Io < rongxh@...> 写道:
Guys,
It is a traditional holiday Mid Autumn Festival, or Moon Cake Festival. I made a small project based on the book of JF1RNR, whom I met in person in Japan Ham Fair.
This morning I tested the half watt transceiver in Century Park and successfully logged a QSO with BG5JNT.

Re: D4D receive light only activates during transmit
Steve,
A local ham also encountered a similar problem. It does light on when the radio is powered on, although the LED is reversed. The explanation could be something like RF signal coupling.
Thanks,

Strange. I recommend check out voltages during this status. Then you will find out reason. Relay or something around ?
Finding reason is part of hobby and fun !
Generally kit need effort to complete is worth more than soon completed.
You paid same price and you can play longer than the others. Otherwise there are many completed product is the world.

Anyone have any ideas? Thinking I need to start by testing the transistors and work out from there. On Sep 7, 2019, at 8:35 AM, steve via Groups.Io < steve@...> wrote: Hi Adam,
