Damn -? ?schematic sent with last post was? for a whole different mixer and was an Arrl HB design
My magnum OPUS ex my head and LTSpice simulation is attached.? Treat it as weakware until I have my SBL- 1 on the bench and? have all the? physical ccts laid out on?
PCB (as in? isolated pad design on a bit of FR-4? 35 um material or similar).
NB There is cct discussion in the last post. BTW the? input? H- z buffer is the Hycas deign? first used? I think by Wes Hayward? ?now a Silent K.
Don't? subs for? the? J310 unless you have a FET? that has Idss of? 42 mA or better and? the same characteristics.? Leaded solderable? J310s are still about in? Isamabad Bazaars and similar places- you? need to look. I did and? I found.??

Re: [CRKits] ADX-S V2!
Tim,
Where can we find information on the DDS6E VFO ?

There seem tobe about 50k of them around onthe CHinese ebay sites still I'm going to do some work with it and and ADE-1 when it arrives - have been given one from Auckand well SBL -1 . I do have a couple of ADE-11s but I'd prefer the known device first . I have done modelling of it and the preamp in LTspice. I used a source follower J310 , the best RF FEtever made and that drove an HW 16 at bias point 80mA and a 4 to one Z match bifilar to drive the modelled ADE-1 the big issue is what is the Leff of the LO coil of the ADE-1 . it's easier to run a practical test but doing the sim with L =500n shows that the DBM will generate DSB. , more or less.

I worked this out partly from the original Indian documentation. It started out as a newDelhi ham project (like an MEng thesis project I think) and Firmeware (O source) was stolen and commercialised in PRC. The DDS cannot inject a Minicircuits 7dBm 50 Z mixer directly there's not enough mojo in the Oput circuit.

That may be useful to you for any experiments you might want to do. This is is based on tests and discussion on Groups IO. I did not do any of the tests.

At this time, the ADX-S connected by Bluetooth showed the advantage of not being affected by RF interference. Rongda also made a few FT8 QSOs by using an Apple phone to connect to the ADX-S.

Device has a Vgd max of 150 V and Cin of about 55pF which compares well to two off x 2 BD 170.. The proof in the pudding his how long that pair lasts in the field. They weouldbe perfect for the first stage of a 15 W SSB amp that would take around 100 mW x 50 ohms up to 15 amp, simply because they have the capacity to survive the 60-70 mA x 12 V bias heat load that the BS 170 pair has difficulty doing (1 Watt standing dissp per device in a To92 case is a bad business unless that device is made of the Magic Silicon.) .

With the popularity of FT8CN and iFTx Apps, I realized that I must design for the mobile devices for field digital modes operation.
