Those videos actually show what I described.? They are very good! Note on the finer pitches he used a liquid flux pen rather than the paste flux in the first video.? I still think for smt work the liquid flux is superior.? In the videos where there were bridges he used the pulling away from the chip body technique I mentioned.?
One other comment I should have made that for two pin and three pin devices like resistors, capacitors and transistors that two soldering irons is a great hack, honestly better than tweezers.
Don't fear it.? In many cases smt work is actually easier than through hole, especially when there is rework.?
