TPS-6L Video not showing... but working in the Setup Screens (?!)

As the title says....

I've this temporary and simple setup, in which I feed the output of a DVR to the video input of a 6L. Thru a passive balun and a CAT5. It works with the very quick and very dirty VTP I had put together in D3 (yes, this is a lighting project).

Then I imported a (very nice) VTP into D3, with a video page.

The video does not show. If unplugged, it goes blue, when plugged it's black.

The video shows up fine in the setup screens....

VTPro will let you draw video and RGB windows on the 6L for some
reason. Make sure you're using the video window (horizontal stripes).

Stretching here, but have you tried alternating between "auto detect" and NTSC/Secam settings in the panel setup?

My mistake - I was thinking of another panel and assumed the controls were in the 6L as well. Sorry!

you mean on the output (as in from the panel) ? So far the video window is not joined.

But yeah, I will.

Incomming. I have a couple 6l and i set the video window to dj13

So Video_On|FB13 made the video work. Else I was having the same problem as you.

I had an issue like this a year or so ago. My issue ended up being a bug with VTPro. When the video window is locked on the page, some options for the video window were disabled (can't remember which options). When I unlocked the video window (so I could move it around) all video settings came back and the video worked. It was very weird. True Blue was stumped on it for a while.

It isn't locked. I sent the file to true blue just in case.

Just in case somebody searches and finds this thread :

Update ; we eventually switched to TPMC-9Ls (for other reasons, mainly IP intercom and real estate), and... stumbled on the same video problem.

Crestron was able to reproduce it, and is working on a fix. I'll remind them that I had the same exact problem on my 6Ls before.

Seems to happen less frequently on hard pages (as opposed to subpages). Video either won't show up at all (black screen) or freeze after a while. Especially cool with security cameras.
