NVX to AVR woes

John Gabler All Messages By This Member #249559 I have a NVX-363 feeding a Arcam AVR to Sony Display via AVPRO EDGE Balun.? All my local source display fine.? But distro source don't display at all.? I can see the 363 is getting the stream, just not through the AVR.? I currently have the 363 scaling to 1080P with hopes that might fix it.? Any thoughts or experiences?
Mike Mariani All Messages By This Member #249560 Typically we use dedicated NVX per endpoint. One for TV, one for AVR/Processor, so that we dont have to deal?with any HDMI Extender issues. However we've done plenty of systems where the NVX sits right at the AVR, HDMI Directly from AVR to a local TV and have had no issues. Can you bring a TV locally to the AVR and bypass using the AVPro Edge extender? When you said you see the 363 getting the stream, you are referring to the live preview window? Nate Goplen All Messages By This Member #249572 Edited You may want to try an EDID minder between the NVX and the AVR, that has solved similar past situations I have been involved with. (But certainly go through the troubleshooting steps to see if the stream is ending at the AVR or if it is somewhere else down the line.)
Eric Luckart All Messages By This Member #249584 I had this happen a few times over the past few months. Some had NVX others didn't. We found by replacing the balun it fixed our issues. I can't remember what balun we were using, but I think it was the AC-EX70-UHD-kit. I will try to verify on Monday as we have a few sitting on the shelf now that we removed them. We replaced them with the AC-EX70-444-kit and it worked.
