Lutron Homeworks QSX

Hi Guys any one can help me how to control Lutronx QSX i used the module from application market and set all the parameters needed like username/password IP address of the lutron processor and follow all the commands in sample module.

I think the crestron processor needs a licence for lutron and without the license installed will block ip control of any device with a MAC address that belongs to Lutrons MAC range

You could always look for an older 3 series processor as well

Hi Leonardo, I am currently struggling with communication between Crestron and Lutron QSX also so thought I'd reply.
As far as I understand, you enter the command processor id appropriately (Probably 1 if you only have 1 processor), IP address and user name and password which should match the credentials setup within the Lutron QSX.
I have an XPanel which pulses the "connect" pin of the module which starts the heartbeat of the module and also set the debug pin high so I can see the activity within Toolbox debugger.

I am continuously getting the following error:

LutronLeapCommLib1{ Reconnect!! }
LutronLeapCommLib1{ Connecting to 10.12.200.100 }
LutronLeapCommLib1{ SocketStatusChange: SOCKET_STATUS_NO_CONNECT }

After reading various threads, I've made sure to have Simpl Windows 4.18p, Crestron Database 211.05.001.00 and Device Database 200.175.001.00 as these were the versions used to create the Demo project on the Crestron Marketplace.

From there, I've just been pulling my hair out ... which isn't helping either. Anyone else able to advise?

There was/is a version of crestron firmware (I was doing it on a PRO4, not sure if 3 series are affected) that broke the Lutron integration.?

I can't remember the exact firmware version to avoid and not entirely sure if it's been fixed in a later version.?
I think I saw on here about the issue originally!

I didn't think that was still a thing on more recent FW for 3-series, and even less on 4-series. Can someone confirm?

As far as I know, you only need a license on certain 3 series processors manufactured during a certain period of time, maybe 2019 ish?

That's interesting. I'll have a look at the firmware issue as I'm using an RMC4!

Charliehibbins, you were on the money. Updated the firmware on the RMC4 from 4.45 to 4.8 and it finally roared into life ?

Thanks for helping, All!

Yeah, that vintage definitely needs a license, the good news is there's 'No Longer' any charge for it...

Just confirming the RMC4 didn't need a license. Although the RMC4 and Lutron were on different VLANs, which I've read can negate the need for a license!?

4 Series processors do not need a license.?

For 3 series as per tech support, normally if the processor is before March 1st 2017 or after Q3 2019 no Lutron?license?is required. The thing is for the first part they mean if the FIRMWARE is before March 2017- around that time the firmware rolling out forced the need of a license. But frustratingly enough on any new firmware after Q3 2019 they did not remove this check from the firmware. I have had several cases where the processor just changes the System Key on its own which breaks the installed license. A couple of those instances with it repeatedly happening and the customer furious about losing lighting controls at night, Crestron exchanged those processors with newer build dates. So not sure if its really HW or FW related.??

Had this exact issue and Crestron provided an RMA AV3.? I noticed that that the SN changed its format.? Went from starting with a 1 and having letters to starting with a 2 and no letters.
