HD-EXT-USB-2000-C failing when USB cam connected at Rx side

Anybody ever run into problems using the HD-EXT-USB-2000-C with a Flex system?

Engine is on the TX side to get HDMI video to the display (Engine HDMI > Tx HDMI > Rx HDMI > Display HDMI).

Logitech PTZ Pro 2 camera is in the RX side to get camera to the Engine (Camera USB > Rx USB > Tx USB > Engine USB).

HDMI video works until we connect the USB camera, which kills the HDMI video and the Rx link LED shuts off. Nothing gets from Tx to Rx or vice versa once in this state.

Tried with the Rx set to Host, Auto, and Device. The only time connecting the camera doesn't break the whole system is when it's set to Device, but even then I only have HDMI video and no USB camera the other direction.

I dealt with this on another project some time ago and TB had me update firmware, which fixed it, but that's not doing the trick this time.

I had to update the fw twice. It will reboot 3- 4 times. Takes about 12 - 15 minutes. Wait 20 minutes before power cycling the unit. Set the receive side to "Host" for the fw update. Once completely updated, set the receiver to "device". Auto is evil. Which USB connections are you using for the camera and UC-Engine?
