Autonomic Coverart Issue

 

I currently have an Autonomic MMS-1e.? Recently I noticed that the coverart isn't displaying on my TPS-6L.? It used to work fine but now shows a spinning loading wheel.? The strange thing is that the coverart works fine on my Xpanel so it is something specific related to the 6L but I haven't changed anything with the programming.? I use the default program from the Autonomic website.?

I know the 6L is old so I'm wondering if it is a cache storage issue or something similar.? Does anybody know how I would go into diagnosing the problem?

1. I assume that you're using ethernet to connect/control the 6L
2. Check your DNS settings for the panel
 

Thanks.? I got the issue fixed.? I compacted the flash memory which caused the whole panel to crap out however after initializing it back to defaults and reinstalling the program the coverart is working again.? Not sure if the fix was doing the compacting or the initialize but either way it is working again now.?

The panel is actually being controlled by cresnet but is also connected via ethernet and has an IP address.? The DNS servers are blank.? Should they not be?? Just wondering for future issues.? Thanks again.

You need ethernet on older TPS panels to get cover art. It does not come over when using only Cresnet (you can see this by removing the ethernet and you will lose artwork). I would put DNS servers in there even though its working without them.?
 

You should *Always* set the DNS addresses, IMO - Its a beef of mine with dealers setting things up, they always forget the DNS addresses.
Without DNS you can't get much/anything from the internet, like coverart...
