Tekmar Snow Melt 654

Hey all, ? Has anyone integrated at Tekmar Snow Melt system ("TStat" #654)? It does not appear that the Crestron module supports its features and I can't find the protocol for its specific functions, like Melt, Storm, and Off. I have contacted Tekmar, and they seem helpful, but then they say they will get back to me and never do. |

But we can't get this thing to work.? My field guys says he reversed the wiring (only needs pins 2,3,5) to see if that made a difference, but no.? I also had him press the buttons on the actual unit to see if I get any feedback and I don't.? The protocol seems to imply there is unsolicited feedback, but I get nothing from this unit at all.? 开云体育The only module in the Crestron Marketplace is for a TSTAT.? You've seen one for the Snow Melt somewhere? ? Yes, we have the 482 and my field guy was just connected directly to it from his computer with their supplied cable. I'm at the office.? We also tried the Serial Port test, which implies it will send back the current firmware version and protocol on its TX string; but we get nothing.? We're going to call them. ? 开云体育I have not seen a module for snowmelt, sorry. ? Do you have a light on any of the bus ports?? One or more will light up when the bus is properly connected. Irrespective of that the test button should work if properly connected.? Let me know if you need a good contact over there. ? Have one of these on a job but it was added later and no way of getting tn4 bus wire to the existing 482 gateway that has the radiant tstats. So we have no way of talking to the snow melt zone. But even if it was wired into the bus, the 654 has no tekmar id that can be set within it that I could find, so I dont see how the Tekmar rs-232 module can even talk to it.?
We have resorted to using our own relays to control the snow melt.? |
