Re: Dumb question
Hello Fury,?
In the case of having a server with multiple media player mini,? how exactly do you control the zones with the media players independently?? If this is possible, would all the commands be going to the server?? Or to the actual Media Player directly?? ? Thanks in advance,? Luis |

Another reason to go with Xantech emitters, they are very consistent. Stripe is always the signal and you know there will be plenty of good copper wire to screw down into.? TH? Thanks for all the advice so far, looks like I will try to pick up some Xantech emitters, just trying to find a good online order place as in Canada as can not purchase?
?local here. ?What I am curious what you would recommend out of the two options one is a 2 screw and the other one a 3 screw terminal not sure what I need as I thought Xantech emitter was only 2 wire MSTC I really like you idea of ordering? A) CERRXIAN 3.5mm Stereo Audio Video Female Jack to 3 Screw Terminal Female Headphone Replacement Solderless Balum Converter Adapter (2-Pack)?but I am curious would I not want this item instead as the Phoenix connector in just a 2 wire connection? ? B) AAOTOKK 3.5mm Screw Terminal Gold Plated 3.5mm (1/8") TS Mono Female to 2 Pin Female Screw Terminal AUX Headphone Balun Solderless Converter Adapter(5-Pack/Female)

Thanks again everyone so far for advice Oil Country |

Using the latest Software and Firmware - 11/24/20
Hi All,
So I thought I would start a new thread on this since it really doesn't have to do with Sonos, specifically. I'm finally going to update to Post-200 DBs and all that goes with it :(? due to the need to get Sonos working again... 1. Do the updates listed below work with Sonos systems that are running the latest S1, as well as the S2 updates?? just checking to see if others have had good results 2. Other than the NewtonSoft update requirements for going to Post-200 DBs, are there any other known issues to watch out for with these updates?? What Crestron is recommending to fix the Sonos Issues: 3-Series FW v1.603.0113 And this Software: |
Re: Please Help with IR Emitter output Pro 2 completely stumped and frustrated :)
I also would only use Xantech emitters (The Crestron ones are Xantech...)
I have used every other major brand of emitters over 36 years and had issues with all of them (with/without Crestron) and the fix was always to swap them out for Xantech!! There is NO good reason that Xantech LEDs are that much different from all others but apparently they are!?? I refuse to Trouble-shoot IR issues until the polarity is checked and emitters are swapped to xantech... (I wish I owned stock in them!? HaHa) |
Re: AppleTV Context Menu Access
Just to close the loop on the IR codes, the AppleTV IR file I'm using came from the downloads, not the application market.? From what I can tell, it contains the codes that are in the
Global Cache database.? Here's the link: Geoff On Mon, Nov 23, 2020 at 2:48 PM Geoffrey Reynolds via <greynlds=[email protected]> wrote:

Digital Watchdog A1+ security NVR IR codes
Looking for these codes. I'd previous learned codes for the A1 (not plus)? but they appear not to work, unless we have a unit that's ignoring its IR. They no longer ship with a remote so it's harder to test. If anyone can confirm A1 codes work on an A1+ (which I would really expect), that would be helpful too.
Thx in advance OP |
Re: Roomview Connected Displays and Flash
Jim Spencer
For clarity, flash retiring won't affect how these displays?communicate?with Crestron control - this conversation is about how to access AV gear's config webpages with a browser, correct? There's no part of a Crestron Connected Display that relies on Flash under the hood, is there?? On Tue, Nov 24, 2020 at 12:38 PM CDUB340 <cwiseley@...> wrote:

Re: Roomview Connected Displays and Flash
For anyone else in the same boat, I did some research this morning and I think I found a solution that will work. First I downloaded Firefox Portable at the link below:
?
https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable
?
The EXE decompresses Firefox into it's own folder that doesn't need to be installed on your computer. The browser will run from the folder. I then went to this link and downloaded Flash player 31.0.0.108 for portable browsers.?
?
https://notepad.patheticcockroach.com/4029/flash-player-12-for-portable-browsers-32-and-64-bits/
?
Please note that this is an old outdated version of the flash player so you should only use Firefox Portable browser to connect to trusted AV equipment. NEVER use it to browse the web!?
?
Unzip the 2 files from the Fx64 folder in the zip file (you may need to use WinRAR) and copy them to the Data/plugins folder in your Firefox Portable folder. Launch Firefox Portable and type about:config in the address bar. Click the "Accept the Risk and Continue" button. Click the "Show All" button. Add a new preference called plugins.load_appdir_plugins and set it's value to true.?
?
Close and relaunch Firefox Portable. Type about:plugins in the address bar, you should see Shockwave Flash installed. When browsing to the Roomview setup page on your display you'll be prompted to activate the Flash plugin. You'll see warnings that the plugin is out of date and should be updated. You can ignore those :)
?
Hopefully this will continue to work in January. Just remember only use this browser to connect to AV equipment. YMMV - Use at your own risk! |
Re: Please Help with IR Emitter output Pro 2 completely stumped and frustrated :)
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýGet a 3.5mm stereo mini extension cable and cut the female end off of it.? Connect the tip to the signal terminal and the shield to the ground terminal.? Now you can get an IR emitter and just plug it in rather than cutting the end off of it and guessing which wire should be ground.? Or if you want to be extra Virgo about it you can buy a solder on female or use these <amazon.com/Cerrxian-TerminalHeadphoneConverterAdapter/dp/B06W2KB8ZV/ref=sr_1_19dchild=1&keywords=3.5mm+female+connector&qid=1606230659&sr=8-19> ?
