Sonos S1 on TSW-1060

Edited

Haha - got it sorted!

What i had to do is issue a "appupdate sonos" command at the CLI. This in fact did a downgrade of the Sonos app back to 10.6.2.

?

?

Hi,

i?ve got a TSW-760 panel running in my kitchen and wanted to replace that with a 1060.

I did the configuration, everything works fine, but the Sonos app doesn?t start telling me that Sonos is no longer supported.

I downgraded the firmware to the same version that is running on the old 760 (3.001.0026), but without luck.

My Sonos system is running on S1 which worked fine one three TSW-760 i?ve installed throughout the house.

?

Any ideas?

?

Disclaimer: I know, Sonos sucks. It?s just that I have 9 Sonos zones running and basically it works fine, so no priority on replacing it.

?

EDIT: Just noticed the old 760 is running Sonos version 10.6.2. The 1060 is running 10.6.99. That might be the issue. How can i downgrade the Sonos app?

EDIT2: Just found an older discussion on this topic. It seems as if the issue is, that there was CH running before on the panel and that updated the Sonos app to 10.6.99. Any idea how i can downgrade that? Factory reset didn?t help...

?

Thanks,

Thorsten

Can you update the android version on the panels? What about the app version, like the sonos app on a x60 panel to support the s2 app?

Re: Panasonic AW-UE50KPJ auto-tracking start/stop command

Hi,
I wouldn't make to work using IP, trying 422, I am using:
OSL:BC:1 to start auto tracking
I am sending:
\x02OSL:BC:1\x03
OR
\x02\x4F\x53\x4C\x3A\x42\x43\x3A\x31\x03
?
And is not working, anybody has an idea?

Re: Biamp X400 with AES67 connection to Crestron DM-NAX-AMP-X300

I haven't used them with the X400, but I have used them with Q-SYS a couple times. Are you trying to set this up with AES67 or Dante. The behavior of the commissioning page going away is expected, Dante is going to be unicast in most applications and Dante controller will handle the routing. If you are trying to use AES67, you just need to put the multicast stream IP (generated from the X400 AES67 output stream) in the AES67 receiver section of NAX. You shouldn't need to work with the commissioning tab I believe this is only used to set the multicast addresses of the internal streams for transmitting.?
?
I dont think attachments are allowed in threads, but feel free to email me and I can send you some screenshots of the setup in NAX on a working setup.?

ITC TS-0300M Delegate System Control

Hi everyone,
?
I hope you well.
?
I needs some assistance on controlling the above ITC device and each Mic on press should trigger a camera preset.
On Simpl debugger I am able to press the buttons and control is correct, but when you press the actual mic button on i get RX feedback from mic but no trigger.

Re: Thoughts on the IV-SAM-VX2-P?

Do yourself a favor, and under-promise on how awesome/perfect it will be. If you try to make the camera shots really tight on one person, it'll often be not quite right, and you'll spend a lot of time tweaking camera presets. But if expectations are set reasonably, and you're able to leave the shots a little wider, then you'll have fewer service calls.

Biamp X400 with AES67 connection to Crestron DM-NAX-AMP-X300

Has anyone been able to create a successful link from a Biamp X400 to the Crestron NAX Amplifier.? ?I have setup the Biamp to be in AES67 mode.? I can route any NVX-E20 or E30 to the Biamp with no issues.? I just cannot get the mix output of the Biamp to go into the amp.? ?I never see the Crestron Amp on the Dante controller, but I was able to search using the NAX amp and see the Biamp AES67 stream, but it will not join.? ?Just keeps showing connecting.....? ?It seems like there is some incompatibility setting that I am missing either on Biamp or the Crestron unit...??
When I try to switch the NAX amp over to Dante mode, it loses the Commissioning page and so there is no way to setup the multicast address.

Re: Thoughts on the IV-SAM-VX2-P?

I've done a few of the earlier units now, the non S2 models.
?
I found them to be ok.? And I've not had any bad feedback from the client but it does seem over priced for what it is.? I remember back in the day doing ptt conferencing tables where each participant would press a button on the table when they wanted to talk and we would then recall the relevant camera preset to hone in on that position.? I found the original vx system to be exactly that except it uses positioning data from the ceiling mics to recall the relevant preset which was fully manually configured during commissioning.? It works ok until the end user for whatever reason doesn't sit perfectly in the predetermined position and sits slightly out of frame.?
?
I see crestron have now adopted the "AI" catchphrase for this model so I'm not sure exactly what extra functionality this has brought.??
?
I never programmed the systems with crestron.? I did it through the API on a QSC Core 110f. Having said that, I kept programming to a minimum of sleep and wake for the cameras and I think I recalled a couple of different scenarios in code to suit different room configurations.? Was all pretty straightforward.??
?
When we did them, crestron didn't allow integrators to commission the systems.? It had to be done by them for a fee so I think proper commissioning of these systems is particularly important.? Thankfully the crestron tech that did our systems was pretty on the ball and did a good job.??

Re: Thoughts on the IV-SAM-VX2-P?

I am working on code for an IV-SAM-VX2-S Automate w/four 1 Beyond IV-CAM-P12-B cameras in a boardroom.? The 1Beyond Automate_VX_v1.1 module Help file is not very helpful so I asked TrueBlue if they had an example program for the Automate system with the option of manual camera control.? It was suggested that I use a 1Beyond AutoTracker_IV-CAMA3_v1.0 module for manual camera control but as for an example program . . . . .? crickets.??
One of our lead Techs worked with the "Crestron Solutions Consultant for the final commissioning".? Our Tech told me that he felt the Crestron Consultant appeared to be in training because they were struggling to get the system configured, forgot to save the configuration, etc.
?
So, I am a little nervous about this assignment.

Re: Really quick question...TSW Camera

Legend. Thanks mate. That's a shame. The camera feature was quite handy in this case!?

Re: Really quick question...TSW Camera

Confirming. Put back the old one.?

Really quick question...TSW Camera

Can anyone confirm for me that the TSW1070 does not have a built in camera like the TSW1060 has?? I have a need to record the video stream from my kitchen touchpanel and I recently upgraded it from a 1060 to a 1070.? If it doesnt Ill need to put the old one back!!? I know its got a mic as Im using it for my intercom but went to add the camera feature today and it appears it doenst have one!!
?
Thanks guys.??

Thoughts on the IV-SAM-VX2-P?

A proverbial penny for your thoughts on the automate VX solution/server as named in the subject. Has anyone deployed it, and how would you rate its' overrall success? Does it deliver?
I'd like to hear about your experiences, reliability, possible pitfalls/issues/bugs etc. etc.
?
The customer is quite insistent we offer them the VX2 server paired with a Shure MXA 920 and multiple IV-CAM-P20-B cameras. They also demand we provide 3-year support package for the whole shebang (yes that means either buying the support services contract from Crestron or getting certified ourselves). That said, I haven't completed the IVC courses yet, but am planning to do so in the near future.

Re: Mazevo Calendar Integration

I've used the API to get schedule information to display as read-only on some TSW panels acting as room signs. It should be fairly painless if you're comfortable with HTTP/JSON in S#. At the time they didn't have any kind of web socket or webhook feature, so I had to poll for updates.?

Re: Best 32" TV for control integration

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

There are hundreds of digital signage options out there (LG, Samsung, Sharp/NEC, Philips, ...) but not sure about UK availability.... But The HD-CTL-101 () can be pretty darn handy to insert CEC in an otherwise uncontrolled case (I'm working on a hotel room project where we're using those to control an odd android TV box with special firmware masquerading as a STB that has no other provisions besides CEC or Bluetooth for control)... But also allow you to blank/disable the output of you wanted to use a 32" computer monitor instead which may be a little more readily available.

There is a NAX version of the same that will do ARC or (IIRC) pull 2-channel audio from the source to AES67 which could be handy if you need the audio for distribution?

Subject: [crestron] Best 32" TV for control integration
?
Hi Group,
?
What is the best 32" TV for control integration currently?
?
I have to replace a couple of 14 year old LG units that were on serial control.
?
Last time I replaced a 32" it was with a Sony which I could mostly control via CEC but not fully - I could turn it off and had menu/cursor controls, but could only turn it on via IR, WOL didn't seem to work either.
?
This system has a V1 DM video switcher in it with the old 3-cable receivers (2x Cat6 and a DM-Net) which has gone faulty. Although I'm quoting for it I'm not sure the client has the budget to replace it with current DM/NVX and may not use the TVs as video endpoints, just local displays with cable boxes behind, in which case I probably wont be able to use CEC anyway and will need either serial control or IR control but with discrete input and power commands.
?
I'm stuck with the 32" format as its on a TV lift built into a custom bed head cabinet, and I cant re-engineer this to take something bigger.
?
Oh and it needs to be available in the UK!

Mazevo Calendar Integration

Hi,
?
Anybody here integrated with Mazevo?? The scheduling panels support their webpage, but I'm looking to have the processor be able to do things based on calendar events.? The API doesn't seem too terrible.? But I figured I'd just throw it out there and see if I'm looking at re-inventing the wheel.??
?
?
Thanks!

Re: Bluetooth control

just curious what TVs only have bluetooth and no IR so I can avoid them. I havent ran into anything other than cheap streaming devices that are bluetooth only so far.
