Re: Looking to see if anyone had issues with QSC Button Module with no Feedback?
Couple things to know -
First of all, the feedback from the QSC crestron modules is very unreliable outside of the first second or so of the poll join going high.? I basically do one stepper at program start, triggered by the DSP initialized feedback, to poll each module for 1 second just to pull all the volume and mute status modules one time.? After that, I pretty much take for granted that QSC will never give crestron reliable feedback for any change that didn't originate from within the crestron side of the module.? If you are going to be using snapshots to make changes to controls affected by crestron, you're going to have to similarly use a stepper to re-poll feedback for every affected module.? You MIGHT be able to get away with using a button presser, but I've run into errors if I try to poll more than 5 or 6 modules with the same rising edge. Generally, I just do all my "presets" in crestron using ARAM instead of using snapshots in QSC, other than for things like camera position, which Crestron doesn't need feedback on.
?
Second of all, the 5.0 button module's toggle is bugged because it works off a one shot instead of a logic wave pulse.? This can lead to the "toggle" being held high through several logic waves on faster processors, leading to it toggling itself on and off and on again several times in a single press.? I recommend using the 5.2 modules, as they address this issue.
?
Third of all, I've experienced random disconnects from QSC cores running firmware 9.6 or higher when using the 5.0 modules.? Upgrading to the 5.2 modules alleviated this issue.? I know you didn't report this issue, but it took me so long to get that figured out I figured I might throw it in for free. |
Looking to see if anyone had issues with QSC Button Module with no Feedback?
I have an auditorium I'm working in. The original designer decided to make a preset option, Easy Mode - Console Mode. So, Administrators at this school auditorium doesn't have to know how to use the console.
They accomplish this by using a snapshot controller and the Button Module. Just to toggle the on state for either or snapshot. I am trying to get feedback on these buttons from the Core and no luck. SIMPL Debugger doesn't change the signal state at all. So, I had to fake the feedback on the TP. I'm using a DMPS3-4K-150-C, Core 110F, I/O Frame for Dante Access inside the QSYS Design. Running QSC Firmware 9.4.8 LTS with the V5.0 Crestron Module. --
Remember, there is always a million ways to accomplish one task. |
Re: Crestron Home UI Driver for video switching on a videowall.
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýWith SIMPL Home you can use your imagination on how the UI is going to work. ?If you go download (free) the module set you can look through the help file and check out the various ways you might approach your UI.

Re: Crestron Home UI Driver for video switching on a videowall.
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi, do you need any video on the GUI or is the GUI just to switch the different videowall features? If the latter is the case, SIMPL Home from Ultamation is your friend. Since you have the SIMP control stuff already, you just need to add the link between your SIMPL program and CH by installing and configuring the SIMPL Home package. You can then easily add buttons to switch the different videowall scenes/presets. ? Cheers, ? Von: [email protected] <[email protected]> Im Auftrag von David Chramcow via groups.io ? Hello, ? Is there a driver out there that lets you manage/switch different video sources on a videowall in Crestron Home? I just need CH to handle all of the UI stuff, the control is going to be provided via a 2nd non-home processor (SIMPL). ? Is there such a thing? |

No processor or devices in SMPL config window
Hi all, I am having an issue with SMPL (probably a silly one) where as when I load any program and go to the configuration window I don't see the processor or the devices on the top portion of the screen. I only see the processor file with the drop down. This is with any program I open. I don't see anywhere in View to add it. Ive tried uninstalling and installing? fresh, same thing. Anyone have a clue what might be going on? TIA. |
Televi D cerno
Hello everyone,
?
Has anyone here created a module for integrating the Televic D-Cerno system with Crestron?
I'm trying to get feedback from the microphones (active/inactive state) in my project. I need to detect when a microphone is active and trigger corresponding signals. I'm not very experienced with SIMPL+, so I'm hoping to find a solution that's more straightforward or see if someone has already worked on something similar. Any advice, example code, or guidance would be greatly appreciated! :)

Re: MC4 Slave no RF gateway?
yea mc4 was working otherwise for ir just not the internal rf gateway. could use the ipad to control the room but the hr-310 had nothing and then all my hz-kpex were dead. they sent something today about remote ethernet not working on 2.8005 and to revert to 2.8003. i wont have an opportunity to test until the next job which i had planned the same mc4 slaved to cp4. maybe mock something up at the shop just to test. was just seeing if people used mc4 as remote processing and used the gateway before. I've done it a bunch with mc3 just to utilize them after an upgrade.?

Re: Crestron Home/Lutron QSX integration
I don't know where others are getting their info from, but it is wrong. CH can only be connected to a single lighting processor at a time and maybe this is what is confusing them. Lutron on the other hand doesn't care. I have had takeover jobs where the C4 stayed connected and worked the entire time I was built and tested the CH system.
Plus I just tried something at the project I am at. CP4-R runs this house. I was doing the initial setup on a MC4-R for one of the electricians on this job. Wellll, I figured why not give it a try. They are now both connected to the same Lurton processor. The Main house processor controls everything while the temp MC4-R controls only what I add to it. Now, these are two totally different systems. I am not doing the processor sharing thing. |
TSR-310 went to system maintenance , on re-docking the unit after the proper battery drain (undocking).
Hi,?
?went to system maintenance , on re-docking the unit after the proper battery drain (undocking).Recently a unit has been undocked just to drain the battery and after few days , I returned back to docked for charging i found a " SYSTEM MAINTENANCE" message on display telling do not reboot the device.
