Re: Somfy UAI+
Its a bit of a pain since the module is not working, not aware of any apps I can capture traffic from. It definitely connects but doesnt continue the initialization process. I have decompiled the .dll and Im working on reverse engineering the code but Im pretty busy so theres that as well haha |

Re: Redis connection error: The system tried to join to a directory on a joined drive
If you can update the firmware using the full package (AVC and AirMedia together), the error should stop. At some point, updating just the AVC firmware caused this for me. Not sure which firmware causes this however. |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýWorks perfectly fine. ?My only question to you is, what are your sources? ?If you are using an MMS multi-source player, expect issues. ?So a 2a,3e, 5a/e will not choose streams 2-5 on the amp. ?Found the issue while Sonnex Tools was open and choosing different streams. ?Been dealing with an issue on 2 systems for well over a year and finally got escalated to ATSG and they found an issue but won¡¯t roll out the fix till their next update. ?Other than that SWAMP amps have been bulletproof.Pat On Jul 15, 2024, at 2:54?PM, David Chramcow via groups.io <dchramcow@...> wrote:

Redis connection error: The system tried to join to a directory on a joined drive
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýBeen asked to take a look at a client with a few systems that have issues ¨C didn¡¯t do the original programming ¨C two of the rooms with DMPS3-4K-350-Cs have logs full of ¡°CresStore: Redis connection error: The system tried to join to a directory on a joined drive¡± ? Which doesn¡¯t make any sense given that the DMPSes are on isolated networks (so no drive mapping should be occurring at least in my understanding of the word) and not doing anything too exotic. ? Firwmare is a couple years old so going to bring them up to current to at least rule that out but anyone ever seen this before? ? -- Lincoln King-Cliby Commercial Market Director ? |
Crestron Home and SWAMP Amplifiers
Hello!
Quick question to all of you, how are SWAMP amplifiers and expanders working with the latest version of Crestron Home? one of my clients is interested in upgrading to Crestron Home while keeping his existing SWAMP multi-room audio. Is there something I need to know before getting myself into this update? Thanks. |
Re: Sony STR-AZ1000ES
The only thing that the old ZA module doesn't do correctly is Volume FB. everything else is working as it used to. I have a site with a AZ3000 or AZ5000 that's been trouble-free for a year.
The AZ1000's are 'red-headed step-children' (Apologies to red-heads!) and we won't be using them again, but the control set *seemed* to be fine. FTR, this issue could very well be something in Crestron FW or the code, as Both AVRs were offline with both the S#/web-socket and the TPC Client. *** My post is just to make sure that there are no other items that people might have found... Here's the primary differences that we found with the AZ-series vs the ZA-series and the Crestron Sony STR-ZA series user module. - Volume feedback doesn't work properly as a 'Bug' in the ZA firmware response strings was fixed in the AZ-series but the ZA S# module cannot be updated since apparently no one at Crestron knows where the source code is...:( As mentioned, I'm just using a parallel TCP client (Port 33336d) to receive the volume FB. I refuse to use the CCD or Package files... - The Web-Gui, which was one of the best elements of this line still works well; however, unlike the ZA series, you cannot access the Web-Gui on the AZ if the unit is in standby. The unit needs to be turned on via front panel or a remote command (from any source including the Crestron interface if working). then you can browse to all things... It's exhausting with all the different ways that manufacturers can make things difficult...there seems to be no end!! The AZ Web-Gui has been change and as usual not for the better. many people just do not know how to think logically anymore but it doesn't stop them from changing things, just to change things, IMO... - Also, with the AZ1000 units, we seemed to have an issue using Static IP addresses and had to revert to Reserved DHCP, which also concerns us... It matters not as I would not use the 1000 chassis. A Sony support person told me as such also... |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThe link between them will only allow 1g. You can only stream 1 source/display at a time for anything on the second switch. You need a 10g link between both switches. ? On Jul 15, 2024, at 8:31?AM, thesaabdr via groups.io <wyatt@...> wrote:

NVX with Araknis
We have a NVX system that was set up a few years ago with Araknis switches. Yeah, I know, not ideal. The system works fine on with the NVX equipment on the main switch, the secondary switch works intermittently. Just thought I would throw this out there to see if anyone has any thoughts. I'm gathering ideas for the next visit. Thanks!

Re: LED Sensor
I use these photoresistor relay modules for various things in my own system
For instance I have one with the sensor over the "Done" LED on the panel of my washing machine and it triggers the relay which is ran to an I/O on my processor so I know when the laundry is done. Works perfect. |
Re: A bit off topic. Smart wired smoke and CO detectors
Nest protect would probably do what you need. The crestron integration is a PITA, but if you install them in you main house and the back house they will notify through the detectors in the main house detectors that there is an issue in the guest house. They also support phone notifications.
