Exactly. If the server is initialized before the processor pulls an IP address, DNS etc. it will fail, plain and simple. Do what the others have suggested and I'm 99.9% certain it will fix your issue. The reason a program reset works is because the control subnet router is already running and the processor can pull an IP address to start your server, whereas on a hardware reset or reboot it will never work.?

I would definitely encourage on processors with control subnet to set your startprogafterrouter to on, mostly because you don't have behind the scenes control of every module or device trying to connect, initialize etc. I thought this was changed to default ON but I may be mistaken.

I did this recently
Player names must be exactly the same
Order of the module matters (init needs to be above all others, followed by device modules)
Remove all characters that are not A-Z,a-z?
it doesn't seem to like spaces.?
You may need to delay the module initialization?till after a minute.?

I updated the firmware to?1.8001.5061.29979 but the problem persists. After the update-reboot sequence some notices started showing up in the error log about SSL Certificates. I confess I don't know exactly what those notices mean or if they are in any way related to the client's problem. But?as of right now the voice control system still does not connect. System is registered but not connected. (The first column on the admin portal says "registered").?

We tried to delete and re-register but the result is the same: a timeout local error after 30 seconds of registration.

Netstat remains the?same, we see a connection being made to?13.82.93.245 on port 443, but it never gets to be established. It remains on time_wait state for a while then closes.

Maybe the problem is in these certificates? Anyone know about this?

Agreed. A FW update is likely needed for compatibility, based on timeframes shown in release notes.
3-Series FW v1.503 is from 2018, while Voice Control v2.x modules are from Mar.2021.

What is happening is that on a CP4N/etc. the program is getting started before the router is fully initialized – I’m guessing to help speed processor boot times and because a lot of times this doesn’t matter – but there are some cases, like a TCP server where if the program starts before the router there can be undesired results – I’m guessing if you tried connecting to the TCP server from the CS it would be more likely to work. In any event STARTPROGAFTERROUTER ON should fix this for you by delaying program startup until the router is ready

Hi Michael!

We purchased Josh's module and have it working great for controlling the ICMP (had to downgrade from a 4 series to 3 series to make it work but that's OK - it's a known issue with later 4 series processors). But the module is good for lamp, dowser and macros only, NOT overall power. When I asked Josh about it he told me he'd decided not to include it because this actually powers down the ICMP card and then you have to deal with timing issues giving it enough time to warm up before talking to it. Plus he wasn't sure if the commands were even available.

I've got a case going with Barco...they of course initially just sent me the same document as I already had. I asked them to please dig deeper and ask around. And I got the commands wrong when I first posted. it's actually

\xfe\x00\x66\x66\xff? ? ?put it in sleep mode

\xfe\x00\x67\x67\xff? ? ?take out of sleep mode

These at least respond with an "ack" but nothing actually seems to happen.

it will be interesting to see where this goes, Barco will either deny it's even possible or just say it *should* work and yet, somehow automagically the existing Control4 system is doing it via IP, there are no GPIO signals connected.

Are you just trying to see if each element of array1 and arra2 equal each other? If they don't converter them to integers, using array1 as the element and array2 as the value for array3?

Thanks for your reply. But I still don't understand why the processor works fine when we just restart the program and doesn't work immediately after turning on the power. This is almost the same as if every time you turn it on you have to first restart the Windows operating system. In addition, why do tcp-clients always work on the processor, but this strange exception is made for the tcp- server? P.S.?And why did this same program work fine on Pro3 before?
