URC Total Control might be a path forward¡at least for the present dynamic.?

savant is where I see most other companies going, but require a full dealer setup direct to get started with them. We sold a system early last week (with none of the product in our shop) and installed and programmed it on-site yesterday if that give you an idea of their turn around time. We hated moving from Crestron for a lot of this stuff, but the lead time are ridiculous and if we don¡¯t start using something else these jobs are going to go elsewhere.?

Subject: [crestron] Needing Alternative to Crestron

?

Just checked a Crestron order for a residential project and is backordered until Q4 2023. Looking for an alternative to a RMC4, TSR-310 and lighting control.

Equipment will be controlled either IR, RS232 or IP. Consisting of a LG display, cable box, Blu-ray, Onkyo surround receiver and lighting controller for 3 switches.

I've looked into URC and RTI but both require dealer login to access software. Ultimately, would need remote access through a control system or I will add a remote PC for remote support.?

Any suggestions??

The user name and password for for the account that the software uses in order to interact with the server at the url provided. It is a mix of soap and rest so there is no actual connection like tcp.

Hello,
Looking to see if anyone has info on connecting to a Panopto remote recorder and starting and streaming a recording. These are not scheduled recordings.

We have installed the licenses that are required.
I have added the Crestron module from the applications market to the program and added all the signals.

When I try to connect to the remote recorder I receive feedback stating I'm connected, yet during further testing I found out I didn't even need the correct Username/password?to get a Connected response.?

Also, in videos send to me from Panoptop they show a "Webcast" button that needs to be turned on to get streaming to start and generate the unique key which gets sent back to the Extron SMP recorder on campus.?

I don't see anywhere in the Crestron module to connect the webcast button to and yet the reps at Panopto say I need to turn the webcast to on inorder for this to work.

I asked TB and they said they don't know anything about how the module works because Panopto created the module, yet Panopto said they didn't create the module.

Thanks for any info you can provide.
Chuck

Did you happen to have any luck with this thing?? About to run down this rabbit hole myself.

Thanks!

I've never worked with the device and I'm just trying to gather as much as possible before I sit in front of it next week.

Re: Programming with Fusion for Multiple DMPS3s #Fusion

As I understand it, that capability is now built into the latest "core" SSI module.? I don't believe a seperate updater/helper module is needed.

Re: NVX Video Blanks When Any endpoint reboots.

Thanks. We have done that once during this project, and may end up doing so again. We now have Crestron ATSG's full attention, and will be updating switch firmware today. I will update the group if/when we get this resolved.

Re: Global Cache with RMC4

Global cache has their control tower website that will send you entire libraries with both hex and global cache codes included.

Denon in Crestron Home

Hi to all
tell me how to change the sound source on Denon AVR-X2700H from CD to another in quick actions for the receiver.
Or another way to change input. I got Sonons and TV connected to it, but in sound settings got only Sonos as a source...
Thanks

Can you describe the conversion procedure with C5?

Only files that contain multicodes don't work with C5 atm

Re: Global Cache with RMC4

Thanks, figured it out. The module for the IR is worthless.

Re: Global Cache with RMC4

Use the Global Cache iConvert utility to convert hex IR codes to their sendir format. You can get that from https://www.globalcache.com/files/software/iConvert.zip?

Global Cache with RMC4

I've seen some threads on using an SIO to send IR commands through a GC but not certain what format to send.
I have hex values for the IR. Is there a conversion that needs to happen or a header that needs to be added?

LG 75UL3J-E RS232 feedback #rs232

We have several of these LG displays that are being controlled via RS232 and "Power On" and "Power Off" are working but not Power Polling. When sending the command "ka 01 ff\r" I don't get a response and eventually will timeout .
These do have Crestron Connect available but unfortunately controlling via IP isn't an option.

I've sent an email to Commerical LG Support but still waiting.

Re: Programming with Fusion for Multiple DMPS3s #Fusion

Hey Aaron,?

Search the website for the "Crestron Fusion? Software SSI Module Programming for SW-FUSION" reference guide. That's what I referenced when refreshing our Fusion integration several years ago.?

Hello!

I'm working on a new code refresh for our DMPS3s that we have on our campus, and would like to use one code for all them. If I'm reading correctly, it looks like I should probably use the GUID helper module in the programming for importing into Fusion, however I'm a little confused how it should work. Is there a good place I should look at that has good documentation on what signal goes where or if I should even use this? I've tried looking at AID 5433, but I guess since our account is A+ Education account I can't view it so any help would be much appreciated.?

Thanks!
