I'm working with an installed Lutron Radio RA system.? Lutron is currently being controlled by Control4 that was installed several years back by a C4 dealer.? C4 system will be removed and replaced by Crestron.

What Lutron data do I need to do the integration?? Planning on doing this with Simpl but it might be an appropriate project for Crestron Home.? I've not deployed a Home project before.? System is two simple media rooms, Somfy shades and Lutron. Thoughts?

Hi All,
With the latest 3-series FW and NO authentication turned on, I think I've noticed that Console and other tools will disconnect after a period of time. This never used to do this.
And since there's not auth I can't set a 'don't log out' setting...

Have others seen this, and anyone have a fix ???

I've been running it since last year and it's been the best experience I've ever had with a laptop.

For doing things with S# I have had to make sure that I reinstall/repair:
NETCFSetupv35
NETCFv35PowerToys
When newly installed or after Windows does major updates because it blows the files away.

I have a program that defines a director, four NVX units, adds them to the unit and then registers the lot. I receive very odd messaging in the error log and am not sure where to begin looking. Another odd behavior is attempting to stop the program takes a very long time. Has anyone seen this before:

The first place to check to see if a url scheme is valid is safari:
if it doesn't open from safari on the device it's not going to work from the program either.

When I encounter something in settings I'd like to spawn from crestron, I usually check this site at medium:?

This site is also good for some general info:?

And the big site that used to list a ton of apps akos.ma appears to be no more. ?But on the iPhone or iPad just type the url scheme into safari and if it is valid it will work there, e.g. shoebox://

I have this working to launch the Apple TV remote with shortcuts. Essentially you create a shortcut on your iphone that launches the app you want. For the Apple TV remote you can even specify which Apple TV to connect to if you have multiple units.? On the Crestron side, use the URL like normal except the path needs to be:
shortcuts://run-shortcut?name="whateverYouNamedYourShortcut".

In my case I named the shortcut launchremote so my full url is:?shortcuts://run-shortcut?name=launchremote.

I've never owned an iPhone, but the last time I had to search for an app URL
scheme, I kept seeing references to "shortcuts". Does anyone know how those
work, and if they can be used with Crestron?

Disregard the weirdness with the '<' and '>' - in a bout of "I can't believe I trusted the installer", I found that 2 cables had different labels on both ends.

Still not able to move the cameras though!

I'm working with a couple poly cameras (MPTZ-10).? As I understand is, these are eagleeye IV cameras.

I'm trying to use the eagleeye control module on the application market to control them, but one camera is responding with "Commands must be between the '<' and '>' characters."

The other camera is responding in hex, but isn't moving.??

Has anyone dealt with this before?? I controlled a pair of eagleeye cameras probably 3 years ago with no problems using this module.

I know you found the solution now. We had the same problem with an older CP3, so managed to swap this out to get a newer CP3 that does not require a Lutron license. We found it an ongoing ball ache when testing.

yeah i noticed it wouldn't compile anything at all in any \\mac directories too so i moved it over to an x86 directory and then at least i could compile a program with a single buffer in it. just no simpl+.

anyhow, i got it fixed. the issue was the .net framework that crestron was installing. i was using master installer and then i tried using the one from answer id 1001084 and it seemed to install fine but i guess that one is problematic too. but as soon as i downloaded from microsoft it started working. so there's your answer to anyone who has this issue. don't use the .net framework that crestron installs on an m1.

In order to get simplwin to compile properly on my macbook (intel)/Parallels I had to map my shared \\mac drives to a drive letter in windows. ?I could not succeed using "Map Network Drive" in file explorer, I had to do it using admin command prompt and the SUBST command. ?works flawlessly. ?I have multiple VMs so I put things like databases on the mac.

An example:?
subst q: \\mac\home\desktop\crestron

Then in simplwin preferences I reference the mapped drive.
Location for User Simpl+ Modules
Q:\Usrsplus?

i have a coworkers macbook with the same m1 processor here. works fine. i can't find the exact build of windows that it's running so that's the only difference i can find. i've tried a few different versions of windows and all crash. i can't imagine that there's only one specific build of windows that magically works. i used master installer to install everything. i've also tried manually installing. it seems like it's a cross compiler issue but i don't know how to test that theory.

I suspect the new SDK-CD product page is the new place to obtain the latest versions; the developer site's "Resources" section will probably point to that page in the future.

The SDK-CD Release Notes appear to be hosted online, available from the download page (similar to FW Release Notes).
