Switchable Privacy Glass - Works well with Crestron
Does anyone have good experience controlling Switchable Privacy Glass films?? We want a reliable product that can just go from see thru to opaque.? I don't have any color changing requirements at the moment but the clarity when it is in see-thru mode is very important.

All I need to do is toggle the lights ON/OFF.? I'm sure I'm staring it right in the face but I don't see? Lights Toggle in the module.? Lights are tied to AUX1.
I'm guessing it has to do with setting AUX1 to a OneTouch button but it's not obvious to me how to do so.?? Hardware is Zodiac 4. |

RE: the 3-space button model - I haven't had too much trouble with this, BUT you do know that the middle button is not designed to be pushed, don't you??!!? I'm using it only for feedback... Here's my typical setup: Button 1 - Press: Light ON, P+H: Light Raise - Feedback: Momentary Button 2 - Press: no function -??- Feedback: HIGH when Light is on to any level Button 3 - Press: Light OFF, P+H: Light Lower?- Feedback: Momentary I've had issues getting Cycle Dim to work smoothly, There appears to be no way to change the 'default' ramp time for this - it's OK but my client wants more granularity that comes with a slower ramp time and have not been able to accommodate. Plus to have to press Down and then change to the Up button to raise a little is very in-ergonomic compared to a single button doing cycle dim. And many times when you change buttons your finger press is not perfect so instead of ramping up a little, the load goes to FULL and you start over again - Client is very unimpressed... The fact that there's no way to do a medium-large button that is a single press or single toggle (like with a Cameo) is unbelievable!!!? But I'm sure that only 80% of the Crestron lighting keypads installed previously in the world have something like this for a client feaure...It's not like 100% of the keypads have this...:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:( |

Run an INITIALZE on the panel, set your default location in VTPro and load it again to the panel.
This has been an issue for ages that settings of the weather widget are stored on a initial load locally on the panel and does not get overridden when changed afterwards.? |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI have a temporary project with 42 Crestron App instances living in a PRO3 (and all of the iPads on the other end of VPN tunnels) ¨C granted the PRO3 isn¡¯t doing anything other than talking to those iPads and acting as a traffic cop to ¡°patch¡± the iPads to one of 4 other PRO3s depending on what the user wants to do ¨C but no issues. ? Back in the 2-series days the Ethernet stack was a hot mess so 10 instances seems about right (if not overly generous) for that platform but with the 3- and 4- the stack is much improved. ? -- Lincoln King-Cliby, CTS, DMC-E-4K/T/D ? I am in the process of taking over a troubled job which is needing a reset every day apparently. The code has 30 Crestron App instances.? That was the first thing that stood out to me when I saw the program.... but Tech support said "no problem" to this. Was this limitation just my imagination? Or was this referring to the older Crestron Mobile app that connected on discrete ports? It's a 4 series job so maybe not an issue for 4 series? In searching for reasons to explain the need for resets I ran the diagnostic tool. I'm not an expert at interpreting error logs but this high number after "nic" gave my cause for concern suggesting high ethernet traffic. I have no other CP-4 to compare this to so I have no idea if this is typical. CP4>========== cpuload ==========

new weather SG module defaults back to Rockleigh
i have seen the problem on my tsw-770, tsw-752, xpanel
i add Ottawa, CA - set it as the default within a couple days Rockleigh is back as the default - no program or VTPro changes i tried deleting Rockleigh, but it came back faster also, i had Ottawa as the default & there was a warning symbol on the weather widget Rockleigh has a weather warning, not Ottawa |

dB doesn't universally make sense to end-users. They'll see a lot of negative integers, a 0, and a small number of positive integers and be super confused.?
I'd recommend percent. You can set up text to display as a percentage within VTPro-e, you just need to know the range.? Link your formatted text with an analog, set the range, number of decimal places, etc.? For this reason, I'd also recommend incrementing/decrementing by a percent rather than dB so that truncation doesn't confuse users when they pushed the button, the value changed behind the scenes, but didn't change on the touch panel.? |

F9 is for savages. CTRL + SHIFT + V is for bo$$es. You just need to format your conventions in such a way that you can't mess things up.? Nathan, You could create a UMC that uses parameter passing to wrap all 12 keys up that way you could F4 it, save for the asterisk and the octothorpe, which you'll likely text name (I guess you could call it 10 & 11 if you wanted to and it made sense to you and you're lazy).? But there is no need for a dedicated module like in Biamp since everything is just a named control. There are pros and cons to this.? |
