I'm still rocking the ML-500 hehe. They're rock solid!

Uverse ViP2250

I have a remove customer with the new uverse receiver and the old ir driver isnt reliable with it. ?Does anyone have a new IR driver they would share?

Thanks,

Re: 2 way serial module won't catch rx string.

Hi,

you don't need external 5V.
Simply use the COM port of the AV2.
Unfortunately, the C2 COM and the internal COM ports A-F do not support DTR.
You can use the rts line for that, simply connect pin 4 of the switcher to pin 7 of the AV2.
In Simple Win tie a "1" to the rts input of the COM module.

Please provide feedback if this works.

Best regards

Re: 2 way serial module won't catch rx string.

Hi?Crestronfreak55,
Thank you so much for the information. ?Now, any suggestion on how to give 5v to that pin? ?I don't think AV2 has 5v supply. ?I remember relay is 12v, worry it could be too much for that.

Regards,

Kevin

Re: Oppo HA-1 / Oppo Sonica DAC IR

Oppo just provided me with IR codes in Pronto format for the Sonica DAC via beta channels.? Discrete power commands are not yet available and there are no guarantees that they'll be provided in the future.? Also note that I just received these and don't have a convenient way to test them as my Sonica DAC isn't currently in a location where I can easily hook an emitter up.? So here's what is currently available:

I have received the following feedback through beta test channels:

1) Pronto format codes for both the HA-1 and Sonica DAC are in progress and should be available soon.

My understanding is that the HA-1 doesn't have a simple mechanism for firmware updates, so discrete on/off codes may not be possible if it wasn't thought of when they setup IR support.? However, the Sonica DAC can be updated via USB, so it's more likely that discrete on/off codes could be added if they aren't already supported.? The bottom line is that there are no promises for discrete on/off commands.

Also, just to confirm: the HA-1 codes do not operate the Sonica DAC.? This is intentional because the 2 products are sometimes used side by side (that's how I'm using them), so having the same remote control both would be a problem.

Keep in mind that these are DACs, so "Play" may not be what you want...

There are not Discrete power commands for the HA-1, I already looked into it.

Re: 2 way serial module won't catch rx string.

Thanks,
I shorted pin 2&3 and saw the command looping back.

I use putty to receive the commands from switcher. ?It connect directory to the switcher with USB db9 cable. ?I have tried both AV2 and CP3, same result. ?If I flip the pin 2&3, I still have no feed back from switcher, plus won't be able to control the box.

I don't think it is the problem with the com port. ?The AV2 had 6 built in com port and 1 3com and 1 2com in cage. I tried at least one device out of those three groups and none of those given be anything back at rx$. ?all COM settings are by default value. ?I tried change one com port from 115200 back to 9600. ?Still didn't do anything. ?I think something that I didn't do correct in either settings in AV2, or in programming in simpl that caused problem.

Re: 2 way serial module won't catch rx string.

Hi,

check the pdf:
The unit seems to make use of the DTR line.
Please check and provide feedback if this solves the issue.

Best regards

Re: 2 way serial module won't catch rx string.

Your messages are broken up a little.

Have you shorted pins 2&3 on the processor, sent a command, and received that same command (loop back) in debugger?

When you say your computer is receiving commands, what program are you using, is it connected directly to the device you're trying to control? ?Connect it to the Crestron Processor without changing settings in the software. ?Does Crestron send you anything? flip pins and try again.

I have seen several processors with dead pins on a comport, I have never seen all com ports on an AV2 and CP3 die. ?I doubt it is the processor. ?

what are your current settings on the COM ports?

Says right in the help file for AppleTV V2

Re: LG Display IP Control WOL

I am currently working with the same model. Can you give a little more insight into how you made the connection work? I'm using a TCP/IP client using port 9761 directed to the IP set on the display. The connection keeps failing (3d). I've turned on WOL in setup.?

Re: AppleTV AirControl v3

It was uploaded in 2014, well before the AppleTV 4 was available.?

AppleTV AirControl v3

Do you guys know if this module will work with AppleTV ver 2 or 3?
i believe AirControl only works on gen 4

Re: OT: 4k 32 inch TV

Try Boland Communication, they have a 4K 31 pro monitor (broadcast type), serial control, etc. ?You might need to go around 2.2 with an Integral or something. ?Maybe some other broadcast monitor would work.

Alternatively us a computer monitor and let it manage power automagically. ?Cheaper and not as reliable . . .

Hey, Infocomm may have someone dropping one out this week.

Subject: [Crestron] OT: 4k 32 inch TV

?

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a controllable 4k HDCP 2.2 TV available? We have a project which we need to certify as 4k compatible and it now turns out one of our TV locations will only fit a 32 incher.

I have looked at PC monitors however I haven't seen any which are controllable.?

Has anyone come across this issue before / can think of any suitable products?

Thanks,

Luke

?

We've found that the site has a very high RF noise floor across all channels. ?I've shut down wifi and other known RF devices and still end up w/ a steady blast in the 40-50db range.

The security company has installed several UPB dimmers for timed lighting, a product which I haven't messed with in ages. ?Has anyone had RF issues in a shared environment of this type?

These are the dimmers in question: ?

Re: 2 way serial module won't catch rx string.

Thanks for the suggestion. ?I created a new plug which had only 2, 3 and 5. ?Still had no luck. ?I guess it must be some settings that I did wrong. ?Something could be very basic. ?I have checked all the working serial connections on the box. ?None had any feed back for rx$. I never bothered to deal with this before, but now, I am working toward a certified programmer, I need to make this work. ?Thanks in advance if someone can point out which piece is missing.?
