Install Simpl and Toolbox MBP / Parallels

Hi,

I've searched the group and see that many have had success with MBP running Parallels.? Any secret to getting Simpl or Toolbox to install?? I get error after error.? Stuff like Unable to register DLL/OCX RegServ32 failed with exit code 0x3.? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Gary

Dreamvision INTI 2

Anyone has the IR Driver to control Dream Vision INTI 2 Projector?

Thanks in advance

Re: Absolute Humidity / Calculate "Power of x" in SIMPL+

Hi,

Thanks everybody for your advice! :-)

I went down the lookup table lane. My first attempt didn't work out, as the array seems to have been too big... the 41x71 array was too much. SIMPL+ would neither find an error nor put out a warning. It just didn't link the compiled file, while SIMPL Windows gave an error that the Crosscompiler might not be installed... Now that I have scaled ?down the integer array to 31x31 everything works as desired!

Thanks again to everybody for your support! :-)

Markus, take a look at dewpoint.zip in file setction. It is the module for a dew point calculation where inputs are temperature and humidity from C2N-RTHS.?

The calculation is made by lookup-table method. It is probably not the most accurate method, but for my needs it's Ok.

Re: New DSP

TesiraForte and Tesira Server is so much better than the Nexia/AudiaFlex lines. ?The subscribed feedback method is worth the cost of admission.

Re: Avielo optix SuperWide 235 Barco/ProjectionDesign

I would like to think that the universal Projection Designs module would work.

I think it's in the crestron DB. ?I have had success using it with the barco f35.

Re: OT: MS OneDrive

I tried using automatic backup systems with managing my firm's code at one point.

IMHO, it wasn't even close to worth it. ?I would much rather use a guided commit system like SVN or GIT.

We've been using an SVN repository structure for over a year now, and it seems to be working very, very well for us. ?We don't have issues with losing files, we don't have to worry about pausing things to prevent file errors. ?I have version control and user control (If someone breaks something, I have a real trace back to the last person that made edits) and we are able to recall earlier versions of the code with little effort.

If you're really gung ho about automatic updates, you can write a bash script and force it to run before shutdown that commits all files to their respective repositories.

Re: SIMPL Compilation error

This may sound a bit strange but have you installed Studio?
I un-installed it a while ago and Simpl started throwing errors when compiling, re-install studio and it started working again

Re: OT: MS OneDrive

I have been using it since February and it has been working great for me. The only reason I ever pause syncing is if I am tethered to my phone. Have not had any weird compile issues. I use it to sync my laptop and 2 desktops.?

Re: 3 Series Multiple Programs - Tips, Tricks and Issues

Wow, I didn't know they went back to the Amiga. ?In v11, they put in something I'd been wanting for a long time - a separate navigation bar for each lister rather than a common one. ?I was thinking if a script could be written maybe using power shell and that SDK Crestron released to FTP a file over and then do the progload command.

Avielo optix SuperWide 235 Barco/ProjectionDesign

Dear all,

Does anyone have the RS-232 or TCP/IP crestron driver for the Avielo Optix SuperWide 235 Barco/ProjectionDesign projector? Or can I use a similar driver that would work?

Many thanks for your help.

Dan

Re: SIMPL Compilation error

Thanks for that. I think I must have every file in every folder now and still no joy. Anyone else have any bright ideas?

Re: New DSP

I agree with all of the above posters regarding the Tesira Line. One thing to keep in mind if you are planning on creating a room standard is that Biamp is planning on phasing out the Nexia line very soon, atleast this is what I was told during Infocomm14 at the Biamp booth. Tesira line will be replacing it. Great product.

Re: QSYS 500i (manufacturer supplied modules)

It's in the Qsys help file...? Search for external control protocol

I am working on a Qsys system also. Where did you find the protocol?

Some things aren't clear from ripping apart the factory modules...

One nice feature of the TesiraFORTE line is the USB I/O. You can connect it up to a computer that is running Skype or Lync and then use that application to do your conferencing, using the far superior AEC and processing available in the TesiraFORTE instead of the processing in the PC. You can run up to 8 channels of audio through the USB connector in either direction.

Re: Prowl for Crestron 3 Series is posted!

I am very interested in this module and how prowl works.
I am looking at the website and am trying to understand it all.
If you have the programming in....do you then install prowl app on the iphone and or mac for the notifications?

Could you send and or post your module.

Re: Logic Question

Thanks for the help guys, never knew the press-n-hold could work for this. ?

Re: New DSP

+1 for TesiraFORTE.? So much less headache controlling them from Crestron as they allow for subscription feeback.

We've started using the TesiraFORTE AI and VI (both the AVB and non-AVB versions) for a variety of projects. A nice little DSP swiss army knife. The AVB version allows for a lot more flexibility. Rock solid so far--which has consistently been the case with Biamp for us. They are 3-4X as powerful as the older Nexia line we were using on almost every project. That said, the Nexias still work great as well--depending on the project requirements.
