Re: Hi i recently got this crestron cnampx16-60 amplifier from a friend and I am trying to get it to work but I can't get it to work. Need help!

First thing I would start with is disconnect all other Cresnet devices so its just the Pro2 and the amp.
Then using text console, send 'REPORTCRESNET'
Does the amp report a cresnet ID?
If is does, verify that it is not in conflict with another cresnet device in your system. if so it would cause odd misbehaviors. change it to a different ID and update your program
I don't remember the logistics of the 'Override button' functions, but normally you'd want the program to engage the Zone On/Off controls. It has individual relays for each stereo output
?
If it does not report, it is likely a damaged Cresnet com board.

Hi i recently got this crestron cnampx16-60 amplifier from a friend and I am trying to get it to work but I can't get it to work. Need help!

From what I have read from many posts about this amplifier is that all i have to do is provide power to the amp and 24 volt power from the crestnet power supply and press the override button to work but its not working for me. the thing is that it automatically lights up the override button everytime i plug the crestnet wire in. I was wondering what do i do to fix this so that I can use it as a standalone amplifier? The internal components look fine to me and I know I am puting in the correct voltage. Here is a video and pictures of the amplifier so you guys can get a better idea of what is happening. Also I know the amplifier shouldn't be on the chair and i will move it. I also have a pro2 with the cnampx programming on it already but it doesnt recognize the amplifier for some reason even though the pro2 recognizes my other devices through crestnet.

It's a sad day when you're threatening to buy a Windows based processor.
You'd hope that moving to the 4-series platform would have made everything better, faster, etc.
However, like every new ridiculously more powerful generation of mobile processors, nothing is ever really faster because of the added bloat.

I would just like Crestron to institute a simple "insecure" mode that strips everything away for those of us that understand the implications and have everything sitting behind a proper firewall implementation.
Most of our clients use a VPN tunnel to their homes anyways.
Leave the super security to the commercial and government projects.

I know you have your list of "crap" that automatically gets disabled with every processor roll-out.

I'm testing the waters with the VC series, and I wonder if they are having the same issues as Crestron branded hardware.
I don't have any long-term data yet ... anyone else?

Re: Help with crestron "video switcher widget

I was thinking you could build the user widget with all the source labels and such, with 5 thru 9 being "unavailable", putting // in the input selection, but route the correct output fb to the screen logic.

Re: Help with crestron "video switcher widget

What do you want to happen when the tech routes something that isn't available to the user? Pretty sure sending a "0" to a screen in the widget will clear display on the widget of any source. If that's ok you can build out logic so that when a tech routes sources 5-9 to the screen, the user widget gets a "0" and just doesn't show anything going to the source. You could also configure all 9 of the sources on the user widget but filter the analogue value coming out of the widget in SIMPL so they can only route 1-4; this may create confusion as they'd see the other sources but would not be able to route them, but the feedback from the tech widget would be correct. Otherwise, I wonder if you could do something with the subpage properties? Maybe add a fifth dummy source to the user widget that you route to when 5-9 are selected by the tech and give some sort of feedback on the subpage as to what's routed there.

Help with crestron "video switcher widget

Edited

So I have two video switcher widget smart object in my vtp file.
The first widget is for "user". In this I'm showing 5 screen and 4 sources.
The second widget is for "tech". In this I'm showing all 12 screen and all 9 sources.
What happens is when i route say 5th source from "tech" video switcher widget to any of the screen it is not reflected on the "user" video switcher widget screen. I know it's because source 5,6,7,8 and 9 analog value is not being sent from smart object since there are only four sources in "user" widget. Is there anything I could do to reflect source feedback from tech page widget on user page widget?
Switcher used is DM MD 16x16?

Re: Smart Object ID's, Presses and Feedback along with Crosspoints

Yeah, it's nice to have your crosspoint joins match your touch panel joins, where possible (at least it helps me keep things straight). But there are usually some other things that need to go over the crosspoints. Signals from Smart Objects fall into that category, so you just find (or plan) an empty section of crosspoint joins for that.

Subject: Re: [crestron] Netatmo integration

Nico, Thorsten,

Based on Nico's writeup of the problem I have created a new version of the Sensibo Air Module for testing (v1.6).? The issue is this.? When you send a command to the Sensibo API based on a user selection the API doesn't respond back with information that tells you it has been accepted and implemented.? So, to keep the outputs of the module in synch with user selections I had sent a refresh command right afterwards.?

This doubles the number of calls and if, for example, multiple commands are sent in quick progression based on a? user favorite setting, then this can cause a lot of commands to be sent in quick sucession which could easily run afoul of the API police trying to manage API traffic.

I've added a new parameter named Manual_Refresh_Required.? When this is set to true a refresh command will not be sent after each other command.? Instead the code will have to manage when to refresh the outputs of the module manually.

I also included some additional notes on how to implement the user's ability to change the target temperature.? If, for example, this is implemented by the user triggering the up/down inputs on an analog increment, then the output of the ainc should be run into an abuf with the enable on the abuf tied to a "Set" button on a tp.? The user will then be able to use the abuf to change the temperature and only after pressing the set button will this new value be sent to the module.? This, again, minimizes the number of API calls.?

As I said, this is a test version.? It is currently just sitting on my OneDrive.? If you guys give it a thumbs up I'll send it to my GitHub

Thanks

Jay

I will let you know.

Hi Jay/Thorsten

?

using sensibo too since 1 month.. I have a CH system and at first, I've tried with the cpllc driver.. with only 1 sensibo at the system, it worked perfectly with no issues.. control and feedback works good.??

then the client liked it and wanted two more units to be controlled, so I've added two new sensibo extensions. same license cost for unlimited units verified by CPLLC. This didn't work for more than just hours.. (same error "429, too many requests... " that we all know about);

talked to randy at CPLLC and told me that it is something on sensibo's side.. and talked to sensibo and they said that their server is receiving more than 10 requests in a 10 second window, and that is their limit.?

I did tried to use an API key for each sensibo, with no success.. when I left the system back with only 1 unit, it worked fine again.?

?

then, I've tried to make it all the way around using a simpl program and Jay's module. Using Bacnet thermostats in CH, and the hosted remoted device/objects in simpl I've created the control within CH using simpl windows control of the sensibo.. all great with the first sensibo. worked flawless and fine, but same issue after adding the second unit: control and feedback became not constant, and start loosing two way communication. I'm using a vc4 and a mc4-r; I will try to enable logging in the vc4 and see if it is the same 429 error -> too many requests, and talked again with sensibo support, as I am guessing that maybe something changed in the server credentials/access with the requests, because as Thorsten said, with just a few commands, even within the "sensibo 10 commands-10second window", more requests are entering sensibo cloud..?

?

just one question thorsten: did your project has more than 1 sensibo unit?

I will also try to separate my sensibos in different accounts, so maybe they reach sensibo's cloud in different channels. I will share the results

?

regards

nico

Re: 80" Display with anti-glare screen

Samsung QMxx B range do a great job with Haze unlike some equivalents. That's our go to for big windows spaced with alot of direct sunlight during working hours. Higher haze than most with comparable brightness and Contrast

Re: TV Presets v2.0

Mmmmm...? Crestron emitters are still Xantech I think so that's not it probably.
As an aside, we paint all our emitters with flat black spray paint (Plastic stable) to create a one-to-one relationship. That is a PITA that the old Xantech emitters solved...but that was too helpful as like most things today!

Crestron Certified Drivers Xio

Hi All,
?
Haven¡¯t had any experience with using the drivers previous so I had a look at it today.
I could claim the device (Sony Display) via connected devices with a MPC3-102 on Xio but couldn¡¯t get it to come online. The MPC3 was online fine.?

Has anyone had that issue before? Are drivers the only way to see third party devices Xio? I enabled Xio on the Sony Display but not really sure what that actually did?
?
Any help is much appreciated?
?
thanks in advance?

Re: Doorbell camera

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Yeah, unfortunately DoorBird and 2N are the only solid options for what you describe, but with very expensive price tags.?

You might be able to try something like a Grandstream door station, though I don¡¯t believe it includes an easy app. They have an app called GS Wave but it¡¯s geared more towards VoIP setups. It would require a bit of know-how & might even require a dedicated VoIP / PBX server.

I also checked eBay not too long ago, I saw a few DoorBirds available for auction with no bids. You could try your luck with bidding on one for $300-$400 and hope that no one else drives the price up. But that¡¯s all I can think of.

Best of luck!

looking for a doorbell camera with POE, ONVIF, app notification and username/password. Replacing an old Silent Witness camera at door plus hopefully to remove Panasonic Door Station, this would cleanup the appearance as well.
