Re: Running SIMPL debugger continuously
I wrote 3 SIMPL+ modules that will let you pipe an unlimited number of signals out to a single TCP port, and then I wrote a Python script for an external computer (RPi, PC, etc.) that will consume that TCP port and stream everything to an MQTT server.? (MQTT server can be thought of as a lightweight database server that doesn't save anything -- it's just a networked bag of variables in a tree hierarchy).? You can effectively watch with a tool like MQTT Explorer (for Mac) to see realtime values change, look at history, trends, of specific variables etc.
3 SIMPL+ modules because one's for Digital signals, one's for Analog signals, and one's for Strings.? You can expand the block to export up to 100 signals, and just use multiple blocks if you need more than 100 signals.? There's no limit to the number of blocks and they can all push to the same TCP server port. I'd like to think it's pretty lightweight?? It does the bare minimum to get the data out, and doesn't overwhelm my own processor at all.? I'm watching several hundred signals 24/7 and using the MQTT to drive other scripts and automation outside of the Crestron processor environment. I'm willing to share these modules |

Re: Running SIMPL debugger continuously
Hello Elliot,
You can try using C5 Debugger () to continuously log events, but its not really the recommended way to do it. The best way would be to create a custom library that can log specific events to a syslog/serilog type server. This would require writing custom code for each thing you want monitored and logged. |

Running SIMPL debugger continuously
I'm?not a full-time Crestron programmer; more of sysadmin, trying to build more robust observability into all of our room designs.? The signals in SIMPL debugger are quite valuable information, and I'd like to log certain signals continuously at all times, ideally sending to an external syslog server.? Is that possible?? The debugger seems to disconnect after a few minutes of inactivity.? I do have syslog enabled, but it doesn't seem to include this debug information. |

Route NAX AES67 audio to NVX analog output
I'm trying to route audio from sources connected to a DM-NAX-8ZSA, to the analog audio output on a DM-NVX-360.? I've gotten it to work through the NVX's HDMI output, but nothing from the audio output.
I did it successfully several years ago, with older NVX firmware.? I'm passing the NAX source's Port, Multicast Address, and Session Name to the corresponding signals on the NVX's AES67 RX slot.? Changing the AudioSource signal from 0d (Auto) to 5d (AES67) does send the audio to the HDMI output, but there's no change (no audio) on the analog phoenix connector. Anyone know what I'm missing? Thanks in advance! |

Re: Trying to Understand Crestron Gateways. Helped Needed please!!!
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýOnly thing to keep in mind.? If you want to load the MX850, you will need to first connect to the ML-600 via Toolbox then once it is recognized, you would disconnect it and connect the 850MX and hit upload.? That is the only way that we have ever gotten to uploads to work. ? Pat M ? ? From:
"[email protected]" <[email protected]> on behalf of "lokikallas via groups.io" <lokikallas@...> ? The URC850's and the ML600's are functionally identical.? And you can load the VTP file directly as if it were an ML600 IME. |

Re: Trying to Understand Crestron Gateways. Helped Needed please!!!
Thanks for the feedback on remotes, I will stick with the ML 600's and down the road maybe go with the TSR 310's in the future once the ML stop working. Just curious our the MX850's an upgrade to ML600's.? And if so you said they will accept the ML600 files directly with no extra programming?

Re: Rachio crestron market with version 3
Thanks a lot Jay for the feedback ?
Yes the irrigation delay will be used with the smart local weather station from Rachio. Good to know that Rachio model 2 work fine with the crestron market module on your side. => Is there anyone using the Rachio model 3 somewhere with this crestron market module to confirme it please ? |

Re: Rachio crestron market with version 3
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThough I haven't tested it, to the best of my knowledge, Rachio
hasn't made changes to their API so the Crestron module should
work fine with the Rachio 3.? I have a Rachio 2 with 9 zones and
don't have any issues.? That being said, I personally only use the
module in a very limited way as the Rachio app provides a very
good UI for controlling all aspects of their irrigation
controller.? The only thing I use the Crestron module for is to
delay irrigation if my Tempest weather station reports that there
has been significant rain.? There is a full integration between the Tempest and Rachio available but there is a charge for it.? Since I live in an area defined as "high desert" it doesn't offer any real savings in water usage for me. Hope this helps Jay On 5/28/2024 11:25 AM, JiiB's via

Re: DMPS3-4K-350-C and the "Content LAN" Connection for AirMedia
While it's not currently listed as such, within the last 30 days, I could SWEAR that the DMPS3-4K-350-C was listed as discontinued on Crestron's website or portal (can't remember which I was on)(yes the 3-Series 4K version). I could certainly be wrong, but I do seem to remember asking a coworker if he had seen any formal explicit correspondence about it (such as an e-mail blast), to which he hadn't.
I'd be a little nervous specifying a current DMPS into new projects, especially if a major change is coming to the DMPS line up, say, in the coming weeks, though this is nothing more than rumblings and speculation. The vibe I get from Crestron is they want to sell the poorly designed and overpriced HD-PS stuff as a replacement to a DMPS. Much preferred the older "receiving" form factor over the current "transmitting" form factor, though if many of your inputs are at the table, it'll probably fit into the workflow just fine. |

Re: DMPS3-4K-350-C and the "Content LAN" Connection for AirMedia
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýOn our installs we don¡¯t use AirMedias on the AV Lan it is on the customers enterprise network. We have canvas enabled and set the auto switching on which is also the default.?True on lack of 4k on the HDMI input. Still Imo it¡¯s better to sell a AM 3000 than the software version.? Re: Smart graphics button state (active vs inactive)
The "Advanced Button" is the goto button for this project.
About "tapping the 12VDC" to a versiport. May I suggest using optocouplers (or optoisolators depending in what part of the world you're in) to couple (or isolate) the generac from the versiports. The Crestron versiports have a common ground and the 7 LEDs of the generac might not, and even if they have I would not trust connecting them directly. Building a board with 7 optocouplers is not so complicated and can save you a lot of misery. ----edit--- Oh man, you don't even have to build it! https://www.amazon.ca/Channel-Optocoupler-Isolation-Converter-Isolator/dp/B09S3XTM5P/ref=asc_df_B09S3XTM5P/?tag=googleshopc0c-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=683150834842&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=2513852794165375712&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9000411&hvtargid=pla-1869623874401&psc=1&mcid=b4aea703722032ed9634788023f5a0cf&gad_source=1 |
