Tokens are tied to the VC4 instance not the room and Hardening with PAM is required for debugging SIMPL as described by Crestron

I have checked the room id its the same. I have also checked the token. Currently I have only one token and it is read and write. Is the token number linked to room id somehow?

The room is in debugging mode. I tried stopping and running the debugging multiple times. Once it is on I get the green tick.

The VC-4 is running on a Virtual machine on my laptop.

I have not run the hardening scripts. I will try that today.? Thanks

I tried with both. Unfortunately both are not working.
Stewart Filmscreen drop down screen IR hex codes needed

 

Anyone have a driver for IR for Stewart drop down Screen?

I found some Somfy codes on a Stewart page but they dont move the screen. The remote that shipped with screen does work it, so install is correct. Also told IR flashes when I tried the Somfy codes.

I did get the AJA KUMO and CP in today, and after setting the IP and putting the proper info into the Analog Init's Parameter, it worked fine!
I could check by looking at the CP's front buttons.

Ok turns out Siri can be turned off in the AppleTVs setting menu, turning it on and rebooting the Crestron processor fixed my issue.

This seems fast and works well for the small sample size of one hours use. I guess we'll see long term.

You shouldn¡¯t need the port number.

?

The Room ID and Token must match VC4; the site name can be arbitrary.

?

Are you sure the room is in Debugging mode? VC4 has a horrible UX in this regard because if you go into a room and just flip the Debugging toggle under Setting -> Details to on that doesn¡¯t turn on debugging ¨C but there¡¯s no indication you need to do anything else -- you have to find the hidden ¡°Save¡± on the drop down ¡°Actions¡± menu at the top of the room page.

?

On the other hand if you turn debugging on via the ¡°Actions¡± ?drop down itself you don¡¯t have to hit save and Debugging just starts.

?

The first time I did VC4 I spent way too much time trying to figure out why I couldn¡¯t get debugger to work thanks to that ¡°feature¡±.

?

Are you on the same network or is there any kind of routing/firewall ?in the middle?

?

Is VC4 running on physical hardware (yours or a VC4-PC3) or a VM? If applicable have you run the hardening scripts?

Hi Everyone. I am trying to the debugger in toolbox with my program in VC-4.?

I entered the details in address book as per the instructions shown in Crestron video on youtube ()

But when I try to connect to the VC-4 from toolbox, I get following error:

"Cannot connect to the specified web address.
The SIMPL Debugger cannot continue."

Please advice what I am doing wrong here.?

And just to be sure what are we supposed to enter in Site Name. It can be any name or something very specific from VC-4

Thanks for the reply. ?Yep, It seems the save as procedure, which I described above, ?for the 1070 did not work as I would have liked. ?Could you perhaps describe the steps to get the 1070 file loaded onto the 1070 and correctly configured in the Simpl program? ?I also tried to "duplicate" the Panel as a 1070, but that wasn't legal as the option did not present with those two panels. ?Instead, after save as, I copy pasted the digital, analog and serial signals from the Panel sample to the 1070.

What old resources pages are missing? All the files on Yahoo moved here. Some people like the Crestron discord, I personally hate it.?

They're also is the Crestron application market for some modules and themes.?

Morgan and GuiFX still exists in some capacity which has me slightly concerned about people sharing intellectual property. However Smart Graphics, some people have made themes that they sell. Some people s sell them on their own site some people sell them on the application market some people just distributed it for free.?

HTML5 panels are already here I'll be at only one that is only HTML5. You can look at using Crestron Construct or doing something on your own entirely in HTML.?

Crosspoint still exist and are still widely used in SIMPL programming.?

If a manufacturer says they are a partner then typically somewhere there is a driver whether that's on the application market or through a third party vendor. It's always good to ask them where it's at.?

I'm finding that various vendors that list that they are Crestron certified etc, don't have their modules available on their website and you have to reach out to them to get a copy.? Would be nice to save a bunch of phone calls and emails if I can just go to a site to get what I need and not be delayed by CS.? Any resources are greatly appreciated!

to be honest, i?m not completely sure I understand your problem.

I understand the communication and control is working via Toolbox debugger, but not using your TP?

?

I?m not sure if this is an issue to the Trinnov module, but more an issue of the integration of the TP.

Thanks for the reply. ?I originally and reverted to just using the Trinnov supplied 2.1.9, with absolutely nothing changed or added. ?After that would not show connected, nor work, from the TP, I went to debugger, which was connected and sent signals that worked appropriately, through debugger. ?With the program loaded and running in the Pro4, the auto Power_On did just that, when I set the module Signal to "Daily" to Power On so that, per the notes, for the module, the logs would be cleared, in the Trinnov. ?That shows that the program remains running and connected to the Trinnov, when in Power Offf state( BTW, I did not enable "Stealth Mode," which seems like standby power.

Apple Homekit Question

 

Has anyone successfully gotten the Apple TV homekit integration to work in simpl?

I believe I have it set up correctly, I do have control of the Apple TV commands, but the voice control does nothing.

When I press the voice button the Apple TV search screen comes up but there's no raw text on the speech output. If i go into diagnostics and test the text to speech, it seems to work fine.
