Hi all,

I have an old Mirage MMS-5
I don't know why, but now the web interface ask me for for a login/password.
But I never put login and password.
Anybody has an idea ?

You need to select all files & subfolders pulled from /display/ and ZIP them to a single file.
Though I prefer 7zip, I use Windows built-in "Right Click > Send To > Comressed (zipped) folder" option for this.
Then you rename the .zip file to MyFilenameFromTheVTXFile.vtz.

Make sure you're actually changing the file extension & not just renaming (to FileName.vtz.zip).
Click Windows Start button and type "File Explorer Options" then navigate to the View tab.
Uncheck the box for "Hide extensions for known file types" if needed, prior to changing the extension from .zip to .vtz.

There is no guarantee the reconstructed .vtz will be viable after doing this.
Note that Toolbox doesn't have any official "Retrieve Project" for touch panels (like there is a "Retrieve Program" for control systems).
In most instances with newer panels (x52 and later?) this process typically works though.
You can try launching the .vtz in XPanel Desktop software to see if it will run prior to trying to load it to a panel.

Any recs for a tuner - just needs to do AM/FM.? Small profile would be a bonus.

Trying to get audio source to a location that has a surround receiver fed by DM.? Customer wants to listen to an audio source while sometimes watch video source.? Wonder if I were to add a couple of DMC-DVI (Just for audio into the DM) and program the break away audio, if this would work.

Cant you just connect to the panel running the project and use File Manager to pull all the UI files on the panel and then just zip them up and change to VTZ? Used to do that on old panels but havent tried on newer TSW panels.?

Unfortunately all I have is a VTX, not a VTZ...
I seemed to remember that there was a way to convert, but that might only have been with construct...

A vtz file is just a zip file. You should be able to rename a vtz to zip and see how it is organized and replicate it with the files you have.

I'm assuming not, but I seem to remember something about this last year...
I have a take-over project with TSW-1060s but no VTP source code. I have all the 'Display' files from the Toolbox/File Manager including the VTX file.
Is there even a way to create the VTZ file from this??
All I really want is a way to run an xPanel to see how the original project runs. I'm remote so this will help to see the original concept before we update to completely new code...

I managed to hose the configuration of a DM-NVX 360, and I need to get to text console over USB which i have done in the past with DM-NVX 35x devices.? ?I cannot seem to get a USB connection to work on the 360.? ?I have tried both the device usb port and the Host USB port.? On the 35x devices I was able to connect to the device USB port and do this.? ?My windows laptop reports nothing connected to the usb port console USB port, but that does not exist on the 360.? ?Is there a way to do this on the 360?

If I have to go the 11 power cycles route, how long do I need to wait between power cycles?

The switch from ERR to MSG happened sometime during the 2 series.? I have a older PRO2 with a ERR led and a newer one with MSG.? I can't say for sure about the older one because it's sitting on a shelf unused for years, but the newer one does let you clear from the front panel.? As soon as we lost the ability to use the weather module on the 2 series, I got multiple notices a day telling me it could not connect.

If your goal is to not have the MSG light on unless there's a real issue, you'll have to go back to 2-series...
My experience is that with 3 and especially 4-series, there is no end to the minutiae that is line-itemed in the logs almost from the moment you restart.

In a related story, if anyone actually knows someone who understands what 99% of the crap that gets put in the logs really means and its implications, I would pay a pretty good sum to be locked in a room to grill them with questions...:)

I just went through this. Samsung Business Support is terrible...
After many calls and emails one of the reps finally found the commands. Hope this helps someone else.

I'm a little rusty.? Haven't done anything since 2020.? Haven't done any updates since then so I guess that's first. My two goals are to replace the PRO2 in the main house and set up a separate system for a unattached garage with a apartment over for my special needs adult son.? He'll get a full kitchen, bath and laundry.? There'll be 2 flat screens.? One in the bedroom and one in the living room. Only 3 sources for that (Fios, Dune media server and Xbox).? Only things shared with the main house is internet access and access to the NAS? that has about 500 movies stored.? He's not into music so ether sound from the tv's or sound bars.? My kids have never even held a oem remote.? They grew up with Crestron touch screens.? My son that's moving over the garage lives by his iphone and ipad. So I'm thinking Crestron Go for him.? That is something I've never done before.? Something new to learn

What you can do is have a console connection in your program and issue a "clear" command periodically.? Or set up a "userprogcmd? clear", trigger a stepper that issues a clear command about a minute later.? Right before you log out, issue the command.
