Well, It's impossible for Crestron to make a mistake at least for the last 6 years or so...:)

Re: LUMA LUM-310-NVR-4CH

Found it....?

Re: LUMA LUM-310-NVR-4CH

The Modules I found are only for the IP Camera.? Let me see If I can find anything else.

Re: LUMA LUM-310-NVR-4CH

Here are the Modules that I found.??

LUMA LUM-310-NVR-4CH

does anyone have any experience controlling a Luma NVR? Luma support says crestron has a module but i cant seem to find it. Looking to just start and stop recording and select camera.

New DMPS3-300-C with factory authentication

Edited

We finally received our order of 8 new DMPS3-300-C's after only a year of waiting.? So far, we have opened 6 out of the 8 and all three of my programmers have said that not only is authentication enabled, but there also appears to be a password already set in them.? Since we don't know the password and get locked out trying to connect. We have no choice but to do a HW/SWx5 reset on each of them.? Which afterwards they then work properly.? We reported it to True Blue and they are positive we just don't know what we are doing and has never heard of this issue.? Has anyone else seen this?? (The new DMPS password part, not the True Blue accusing us of being ignorant part.)

Re: MC3 Firmware

Most recent firmware for a device is most easily found on the Resources tab of the product page.
In this instance I'd Google "MC3 Crestron", click the product page (top result), and then Resources tab.
?

The search bar preview window at the top of crestron.com will only show current products.
(MC3 is discontinued, so it won't appear in the popup & you have to hit enter to perform a full search.)
Results in the full search are polluted because all the products listed have something in their Overview tab along the lines of:
"communicates with a Crestron? control system via an infiNET EX Wireless Gateway (model CEN-RFGW-EX, DIN-AP3MEX, or MC3[2])"
Overall, in 9+yrs of working at Crestron, I rarely ever use that particular search bar.

The smarter way to search for firmware on the site is first navigating to " > > " then search "MC3"
?

Re: Teamviewer and SIMPL Debugger

One quircky thing I see often with TeamViewer is, if the laptop you are remoting into has an integrated graphics card or is just generally not a great laptop, your view as the one remoting in is often sluggish or just constantly frozen, while the end user does not see any issue on their side. However if the laptop I am remoting into has a dedicated graphics card, I just don't see this issue. Is it possible that debugger is working and syncing properly, but your side is just sluggish to catch up?

IP (or should I say HTTP) is neater to integrate, as it uses a Simpl# library to do POST requests to the Turn, and also uses SSE events to get real time events from the Turn. The Cresnet is solid too, but of course you have to tie in lots of digital and serial signals. Personally I prefer the IP version, less work to integrate!

Re: Sonos Soundbar issues

The System Module is above the Device Module and the Soundbar name is the same as what is in the device module parameter.?

Thanks (also to Jay for the reading)!

Any preference on Cresnet vs. IP?

Yes I have used quite a few of them, easy integration with Crestron using the supplied modules (either Cresnet or IP).

We use splashtop for unattended access and ad-hoc support. It has all the features we need i.e. file transfer(actually really good copy and paste or drag and drop), unattended login with AD or not.?

We like it. Came from goto.?

Subject: Re: [crestron] Teamviewer and SIMPL Debugger

Thanks y'all. I definitely need file transfer and our use case is not necessarily for 1 to 1 but 1 to many, i.e. I would need to be able to connect to lots of laptop/pc's that don't belong to me. Essentially, I support the programmers in the field and need to connect to their machines, which I likely would never have credentials for. It seems like most software models in this arena are more geared towards connecting to your own devices. At surface level, from what I can tell splashtop is the only one that fits the bill so I'll give that a go.

Re: Teamviewer and SIMPL Debugger

Splashtop also has a handy thing called SOS, it's a downloadable .exe the guys in the field can fire up as needed - it will give you the chance to connect through your splashtop client using a one-time 9-digit session code, so you don't have to worry about credentials..

Re: Sonos Soundbar issues

System module needs to be above the device module in your program tree. Also did you name your soundbar the exact same name that you have in your device module parameter? I do remember reading that it doesnt like special characters in the player name.?

Re: Sonos Soundbar issues

From my experience, you have to use the same version of the module. You can't mix and match. If one is 3.2.0 them all must be the same?
