Grand Stream GDS3712

Has anyone had any experience with the GrandStream GDS3712 Door Stations?

Thx
Bryan

Doorbird D1101V1

Edited

Hi All,

I am considering DoorBird D1101V1 for my home, but the reviews I am finding don't look good.? ?I am curious what experience people have had with these Door Bird units.? I am also looking into 2N IP Base units, but they seem to be on back order everywhere I look.

Thx
Bryan

Re: DIN-8SW8-I & VC4 ?

We¡¯re all in the same boat. ?Trying to be Crestron installers and programmers when they don¡¯t seem to be making any headway after several years of essentially not shipping anything useful. ?We¡¯ve been doing MC3 and RMC3 and buying them from Ebay. ?A better solution then running lighting on a VC4. ?Those two processors are still available without the silly ¡°supply and demand¡± overcharges the CP3 and AV3/PRO3 is getting. ?As far as lighting is concerned, is there any functional difference between RMC3 and RMC4?

Re: Quick video streaming question - TSW1060 - Hikvision

Brilliant. Thanks heaps guys.? I did get it working with 1 cam live and 2 on snapshots.? 1s interval is OK for what I'm doing.?

I like the channel zero idea too! Going to try that when I get home!?

Re: 3 Series Comparison

MC3 is more like 2.50 series (MC2.5)
??
Unless YOU NEED RCA jacks on your processor (lol) stick with the RMC3. I have never had one issue with a RMC3 processor.

I might add that the MC3 should have never seen the light of day.

Mike?

Subject: [crestron] Newline Q Series TV IP control

Anyone got this work?
I can turn the TV off (port 6688) and?\x7F\x08\x99\xA2\xB3\xC4\x02\xFF\x01\x01\xCF
but once it's off?\x7F\x08\x99\xA2\xB3\xC4\x02\xFF\x01\x00\xCF doesn't turn it back on.

It seems like even though the green led on the RJ45 remains on, too much gets powered down and it can't be turned on with the regular ethernet power on command. IP status connect status is never 2 once i's off.

There's a Wake On Lan option in the menu. I tried \xFF x 6 plus MAC address x 16 but that doesn't appear to work. Serial of course just works, but I don't have that option.

TIA

Crestron Fusion Drivers #Fusion

I'm trying to connect a NEC projector to Crestron Fusion Roomview, and when I look at my drivers for Projectors, all I see is the BASIC_PROJECTOR driver and I cannot add it from the network. Is there somewhere that I can obtain the drivers for our NEC models that we have?

Thanks!

C# 4 series language and target framework compatibility

Hello friends,?
Quick question here. Now that 4 series is out of the sandbox are there any target framework limitations and/or c# language version limitations??
Currently I'm using C# version 7.3 and target framework .Net Framework 4.8.1 with VS2019 community
Crestron documents suggest that 4.8.1 is our cap. Is this true? But this answer ID document is 2 years old and I can't find anything more recent.
Can we use something higher to get into C# version 8? I would like to be able to use "using" statements.

If there is a document that explains this then I apologize for bugging everyone.

Thanks for any help

Re: Serial Number via Text Console

My understanding was that the TSID <-> Serial Number relationship was no longer "a thing".? The newer serial number format did have a mapping initially but we were advised to move away from that as it was no longer a one-to-one thing.
All of the CH driver developers were told to use MAC address rather than TSID/Serial number for that reason.

Re: NVX USB routing - how to do it? #android

I'm working through some of this right now.? If I use automatic pairing and just fire off MACs, do I have to unpair all devices on a given endpoint?? Or can I just send 00:00:00:00:00 where a device was paired?

Re: Serial Number via Text Console

Dang! Nice. Thanks

Re: Serial Number via Text Console

New processors command is "serialnumber" and it does return whatever is printed on box, not TSID.

Re: 4 Volume output Feedback to One Gauge/Slider #simplwindows

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Pretty much.? You can pass the output of the slider to the zone and pass the feedback from the zone to the slider.

?

Am I correct in this thinking?

4 buffers one for each room Feedback, enable is driven by the value of the room/room selected digital signal that is selected. Then the input analog signal is the zone feedback from the amp, out of the buffer into say "Volume_Level" feeding the analog join of the slider/gauge.

?

Then repeat the steps for zone 2-4 and have the same "Volume_Level" out into the slider?

DIN-8SW8-I & VC4 ?

Hi guys,?
I have? DIN-8SW8 light modules, the project was initially designed to work with a RMC4 processor however again due to the crazy lead times we are forced to explore alternative solutions. Hence i was wondering if there is a means where we could use a VC4 to work with this lighting modules, even if it means introduction of another crestron device that is readily available? Kindly advise.

I don¡¯t disagree but keep in mind ver -v is uninterpreted data and also changing the format of the response could break other things that are dependent on a response to a particular command being in a particular format/having things in a particular place. Perhaps adding something like a VER -VV could solve this¡

?

The System Info tool (I think the only tool I have less use for in Toolbox is the DVPHD Tool) does a lot of data interpretation for you including parsing VER -V (or a similar command) and applying the conversion formula. Part of (most of?) the slow speed of the tool is it has to query for every one of the elements it displays [even if you don¡¯t care about 90% of them], parse the results and then render the display.

Doesnt this make you wonder why the VER -V command cant just simply display the real serial number? Its available in System Info. How hard could this be in 2023?

Re: Quick video streaming question - TSW1060 - Hikvision

Are the cams connected to an NVR? Alot of the Hik and ICR recorders have a channel zero stream that can act like a grid view, and you can stream that view to a panel.?

Re: Quick video streaming question - TSW1060 - Hikvision

Or you could use a video server that can combine multiple streams and play out as one.
Before you ask: no, i don?t have good recommendation for a product that can do that. I started to research some time ago, but it wasn?t necessary at the end (snapshots where OK for the client at that time).
