Re: LG 43UR640S IP Control

Hi Gary,

Have you set PM to Network Ready?

Also, does the Display have Crestron Connected? I vaguely remember using that for a similar model.

LG 43UR640S IP Control

Has anyone managed to get an?LG 43UR640S to wake on LAN?
I have tried everything suggested in?/g/crestron/message/246127?to no avail.?
The menu structure is different from other LG displays I have worked with but to access the advanced menu you hold the settings button and type 1105 then OK.
One in there, I have set "WOL(Magic Packet)" to "Power On" and have turned "LG Connect" to "On".
I have tried UDP ports 9 and 12287 with no joy, a port scan shows a UDP port on 161 which I have also tried. All power saving options have also been turned off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance, Gary.

Re: AUTH and SSL on 3 Series

John, agreed with your situation as that was how our CP3N was as well. ?It had been nursed along from update to update never having AUTH nor SSL turned on. ?Once an INIT/RESTORE was performed on the replacement unit there was no going back. ?1.8x FW without AUTH/SSL then INIT/RESTORE then forced AUTH. No rolling back or combination of nonsense ¡®fixed¡¯ it. ?Dave H was able to repeat and confirm this on the bench. ?I sent him the support ticket number and RMA in response to his input to this thread but never heard back.

Re: CP4 with TPS-4L on Windows 11

Never heard anything like that. I just did some updates on 4Ls for a site a couple months ago with no issues.?

Re: AUTH and SSL on 3 Series

We have a takeover job where we just started to get the system ready for new programming, and it has a CP3 and a PRO3 running 1.501 fw. So I was curious to see if I would run into the same issues when I bumped them both up to the latest 1.8. Auth was not enabled before and after the updates it still was not enabled (although I did enable it later on). Which seems similar to other sites of ours that we have updated.?

Must be something in that N version that caused this. Sucks that they can't help you out on this though. Its getting pretty rough and they are killing us with these BS stock issues.?

CP4 with TPS-4L on Windows 11

Good morning guys,

I'm upgrading an old AV2 install to a CP4, and the client wants to keep the old TPS-4Ls in place until the house is decorated in the next year.

I can see the TPS-4Ls drop into the project, so I'm happy there. I've heard a rumour that you can't upload to a TPS-4L with the current VT-ProE.

Does anyone have any experience with TPS-4Ls on a 4-series system? Is there anything I should be aware of for this install?

Re: AUTH and SSL on 3 Series

I don't know if it's already been mentioned, but couldn't you add an old PRO2 or AV2 for only the Mobile Pro symbols, then EISC them over to the 3-series program?

Re: where do programmer's go

Jim Spencer

The higher ed market is a pretty sizable chunk of AVIXA's?membership. There are a bunch of us at universities that wear the programmer hat pretty regularly. It'd probably take?a pretty sizeable institution to keep you busy 100% of the time with Crestron programming, but programmers also fix most wiring problems :D so chances are that you also have technician and design skills that would be useful to the AV/IT teams at a school.?

Integrators, manufacturers, schools, embedded support, etc. There are a lot of opportunities, but I agree with you that a lot of leads from recruiters and placement agencies aren't directly irrelevant.?

Good luck!?

Jim?

Re: AUTH and SSL on 3 Series

So just to follow up¡

After repeated attempts with tech support to ¡®roll back¡¯ the FW on this unit it finally threw its hands up in the air and gave up. Crestron issued an RMA and we sent it back. ?They are now telling me that the unit is unrepairable due to it being out of warranty and unavailable parts. ?This smells like total BS. ?Can someone please enlighten me as to how a failed FW update can cause an otherwise perfect processor to become unrepairable? ?Current situation in Crestron land is no new processors and out of warranty ones cannot be fixed? ?Please¡someone throw me a bone here.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Are you sure 4K is required for the planned application?

Going below 4K could drive cost significantly down.

Hi All,
We're working on a church project and need a couple *reasonably priced* 4K projectors that have 8-10,000 lumens.
Any suggestions?
TIA!!

Re: OT: Presentation projector

Chris,

I've used DPI projectors in several commercial projects over the years, and they've been extremely reliable.
I don't even know what reasonably priced means anymore.
DPI E-Vision 11000 4K-UHD is about $28k retail - tons of lens options, liquid cooled, sealed optics, 10,500 lumens
To me, anything laser illuminated, over 10k lumens, and under $30k retail is very reasonably priced.

I'm sure that Epson has something that fits the bill at a lower price, but I haven't used them.

Good luck,
Brian

I'm looking for the way to control PTZ Hikvision cameras.
Could you share the code which uses SimplSharpOnvifInterface.dll?

Many thanks.

1. What is the reason that you're looking to use a Control subnet?
2. you can use a reasonably inexpensive router to set up the same configuration via VLans, one for the processor and one for the control subnet devices. If your network already has a decent router, you may be able to use that to configure the VLans (or even the switch, if its sophisticated enough). If its an 'ISP router' then you'll likely need to roll your own....

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Is there some particular reason you have to have the control subnet?

Re: AP4 Control Subnet

You¡¯re going to find this tough as the DIN-AP4 processor doesn¡¯t have a Control Subnet physical interface or internal router.

I¡¯m guessing the AP4 is a substitute for a CP4N?

I think a design change may be required.
