Hi Jon

I'm interested and could probably throw a basic module together fairly quickly.? I've written about both the SwitchBot and CurtainBot.? At the time of those articles the only way available to communicate with the products was IFTTT.? They didn't have a published API and weren't talking about releasing one.? I really appreciate your posting this.?

I have switchbots and a hub to test with.? Once I have something working with that I can email you what I've done and you can test with the curtain.

Windows auto-installing updates and rebooting my machine overnite with 20 windows open that I'm working on so that I have to re-open/re-config my whole workspace when I get up instead of getting to work???...:(:(:(

Yea I have tried all these Group Policy suggestions in the past and they never seem to hold. I would come back to the laptop the next day and it had restarted. Quite annoying. I have just gotten in the habit where if I see the update restart icon in the tray, I just make sure I save and close all my work at the end of the day and let it do its thing. Its just a battle you can't win.?

I was exited about the curtain bot. I wish they had a Z-wave/Zigbee version. Not a fan of having another hub, another module and so on.

Btw, do you know if it is local API or cloud?

Hi Andy,

I mainly use CrestronConsole.Printline so that I can print what is going on and see it from simpl debugger. I think ErrorLog.Error will print the error in error log that you need to check from system info or from file manager. Also use ¡°try¡± and ¡°catch¡± when I am not sure if it has error. Hope this help.

Yes, Push is enabled for all my controller numbers. I can send the discrete Mute On and Mute Off on the module and the DSP responds accordingly, however there is no feedback on the module. I am suspecting the Symetrix Command Processor IP v3.0 module. I am seeing return strings coming back from the DSP, but nothing out of the processor module to the respective modules.

Do you have 'Push' enabled for that control number on the DSP side? I believe that is required for these modules to work.

The text entry object in VTPro should have a property check mark for the keyboard popup. It is towards the bottom. Did you try that?

Im Looking at mine now and I believe on the "Button is Off In" on the SIO it was originally :
\x23\x30\x30\x30\[#Controller_Number\]=0\x0D

And I changed it to:
\x23\x30\x30\x30\[#Controller_Number\]=00000\x0D

If I remember correctly I had to change something on the SIO of the Button Push Module to get this working

When you are mentioning the login requested are you talking about when a processor has authentication on??
Symetrix Radius v3.0 modules

 

I am on a jobsite and I believe I am having an issue with either the Symetrix Button Push v3.0 module or the Symetrix Command Processor IP v3.0 module. The Button Push module? Mute Toggle is not working other that it sends a Mute On on each press of the toggle and is not displaying any feedback as to state. I can send the Mute On and Mute Off commands on the module and the DSP responds accordingly which is why I am suspecting the Processor module. I am suspecting that the modules may have fallen victim to the old NewtonSoft compiling issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

You need to open the Group Policy Editor and edit the Windows Template for Auto Updates. ?There are a number of different options which control the updates. ? The only thing you need to be careful of is leaving the computer unprotected but you'll have control when you deploy them

In?Group Policy?Object?Editor, expand Computer Configuration, expand Administrative Templates, expand?Windows?Components, and then click?Windows Update. In the details pane, click?Automatic Update?detection frequency, and set the option.
