Controlling Apple TV via IP - Any Recommendations/Suggestions for Modules or Built-Your-Own
I was wondering what is the best way to control a latest gen Apple TV via IP.
With a quick google search I found these products: 1. 2. Does anyone have any experiences with one or the other, in particular in regards to robustness?? At first glance they seem to be fairly comparable, but with the intrinsic being 50% more expensive. I am also interested in 2-way feedback. Apparently, both products offer it, but I could not find much detail. The ultamation offers a 1 hr trial, but I have not done that yet. Are there any other module options out there or even any documentation, so I could roll my own module? TIA! |
Re: Telus Optik in Canada
SO the file Ulw40001e that I was sent from wartyhogus cleared up the channel entry issue and the navigation issue BUT when using the "search" function, up and down don't work but work everywhere else.......
My original file is still working perfectly on the other 2 boxes without any issues. It's just the dam PVR |

Re: Telus Optik in Canada
Last install I did was around 8 months ago. I used the ir driver Telus UIw40001e this worked well. Previously ion an older box I used the cisco CI430 driver .However some commands had the same issues you have had so I had to use the the Cisco IPN330HD for commands "last" and "back" .? i will try to upload the file?

Telus Optik in Canada
SO I've got a client that has 3 Telus Optik 4K boxes, 2 portals and a PVR. All three use the exact same remote. The 2 portals work just fine,no issues, the PVR won't accept 2 of the same command so typing in channel 422 gets you 42 unless I hit another button and then 2 again. Same with navigation, on the built in Netflix app if I go right, I have to go down or up before it will accept another right command yet if I use the guide, it navigates just fine. It is really frustrating. Any help or insight would be appreciated.?

Oh, I missed that, thanks. I just went back and read that email, and they have it buried - it's second from the bottom, in the NVX section :-)

Although that's a nice addition, it's not nearly as useful (in my opinion) as being able to intercept camera or other streams. --- On Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 11:24 AM, Michael Fletcher wrote: |
Per the latest commercial product announcement they are releasing firmware with a thumbnail preview stream of NVX encoded content for use with touch panels. It will be 1 frame per second and exclude HDCP content.

By design, the NVX is a "closed" system, and only transmits or receives encrypted streams from other NVX units. However, several people have suggested adding the feature to allow decoding (ONLY) of unencrypted streams. I'm not sure how that would impact their security specs, but if necessary they could make such a box a separate SKU. Another great option would be to include a graphics engine like the DM-DGE-200-C. Someone (not at Crestron) told me they heard such a unit is in the pipeline, but I think both features are long overdue. --- On Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 10:26 AM, Chris Horner wrote: |
