Re: Samsung Flip2

Hello TBB,
Do you have any luck on controlling these units via RS232 or LAN? I searched a lots but it seems there is no commands list in their documentation.

Regards,

Hi B B,?
Thanks for your help, I Really don't remember if I set another address.?
but I believe that in the same way the monitors should take some action or not?

Hi all,
I need control the new version from Samsung Flip Monitor, (Flip 2 WM55R and WM65R). someone had a success to control?

I can control to previews version, but not on this newer; The Datasheet inform control by RS-232 and Ethernet, but i can't make it work.

On Monitor, I can see a fisical port called Service, on this port I treyed all Baud Rate and after with cross cable. Not worked.

I maked a port scan and I can see ports open: 7678, 9197, 26101 and 38485; ?None Worked.
On the Ports 7678 and 9197 I can keep connected, but do not have communication.

Commands that I Have is:
To Turn On: \xAA\x11\xFE\x01\x01\x11 and \x08\x22\x00\x00\x00\x02\xD4
To Turn Off: \xAA\x11\xFE\x01\x00\x10 and \x08\x22\x00\x00\x00\x01\xD5
?
At no time did I receive any kind of response.?
I managed to control some functions by CEC, but it doesn't have all the actions I would like.

Many Thanks

Re: NVX and DANTE on Cisco 2960-x Switches

I actually found the info about those addresses from a combination of biamp, qsc and shure documentation.? Not much at all from crestron.??

Re: NVX and DANTE on Cisco 2960-x Switches

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense. Just my luck, searches for unregistered or filtering in the documents I have returned no results.

Re: TSW-x52 non Crestron mac address

Thanks for the help guys.

I ended up finding a handy python script on github that let me figure out the sudo password.

TSW-752>sudo macaddress 0 00.10.7f.xx.xx.xx
Username: crengsuperuser
Password: *
MAC address saved.? Reboot to take effect.

TSW-752>reboot
Rebooting system.? Please wait...

Re: NVX and DANTE on Cisco 2960-x Switches

I had this exact issue using that pakedge switch? a while back.? Ended up buying a Cisco 350x and still had the same problem.? Finally figured it out after a number of headache filled days.??

Do you have unregistered multicast filtering enabled?? If NVX is working you probably do.? That setting will break Dante so you need to forward on some specific multicast addresses to the Dante device ports.?

Re: TSW-x52 non Crestron mac address

Unofficial way: open it up, extract the SD card, make a image of it, use a HEX editor, replace the deadbeef mac with the correct one, write the image back to the SD card.

Or try contact true blue and hope to get a hold of an engineer who knows the sudo credentials to change the mac that way.

Re: NVX and DANTE on Cisco 2960-x Switches

Make sure the 352s have a pingable gateway, otherwise you'll see Dante clock issues.

Re: DMPS3-4K-100-C network connection issue

That has been the solution recently as well. I believe Crestron has changed suppliers or manufacture for the NIC Card.

Re: Samsung Frame TVs

Edited

Hello... normally I only install Sony and the control of those are solid. Unfortunately a client wanted a lot of Frame TVs. I'm attempting to control them via IP with a Crestron driver and they work for the most part, but occasionally miss commands. I'm insured that the two options under network settings are enabled and on. I've also noticed that the NIC card does go to sleep in the TVs, so I'm assuming the MAC is needed for WOL. What has anyones experience been with reliability and did you have to do something extra to make sure it worked correctly every time? Thanks!

Mike

Re: NVX and DANTE on Cisco 2960-x Switches

Clocking is the issue, they will not connect long enough to pass audio. There is no traffic except for the DANTE clock and control. One transmitter, on receiver. NVX stream off.

Re: DMPS3-4K-100-C network connection issue

Keith Borgstrom

I had the same problem several months ago with a new classroom install. The advanced replacement from Crestron fixed the issue. It has been rock solid since then.

Firmware is current, tried different cables, network switches and rolled back firmware as well still with the same results.

Re: NVX and DANTE on Cisco 2960-x Switches

What specific issue are you having with Dante? Discovery? Dropouts? Clocking?

if it¡¯s discovery then you likely have an issue with broadcast traffic or your controller PC is on a different VLAN.?

if it¡¯s clocking then you might just need to enable QoS

NVX and Dante need to be on the same VLAN especially when using 352s?

Don't you think it's a little early to be drinking? Or am I late to the party? With no InfoComm, my body is a little confused right now.?

Anyone have a module or has worked with these units ??

Re: NVX and DANTE on Cisco 2960-x Switches

Maybe you need use different VLANs to NVX and Dante.
You need check if the switch capacity of processing is ok (bandwidth). I think this is not your problem, but, a doble check can help you.

Maybe this doc can help you.

If you can use the NVX in your configs, i Think you is able tu use Dante.
Try remove all NVX and check if your dante work.

Yeah, that joke gets used a lot in testing hardware ¨C it may have just not had the correct MAC programmed in. Not the first time. As long as you don¡¯t have another DEAD BEEF 1234 on the same network it shouldn¡¯t cause any real issues on its own. On the other hand check to make sure everything else is working as expected as there is a small chance that this could be a sign of an impending failure.

Yes, I've had a TSW-760 report a weird MAC Address. I don't have record of what the MAC Address was, but the panel was defective out of the box (it was touching itself in weird places and calibration, restore, init, etc. wouldn't fix it). That was a fun call to True Blue when it reported both a bogus Serial Number (one not on our PO) AND a bogus MAC Address. The sticker satiated the claim, though, and we got an advanced replacement.?
