Re: Scheduling Question
The TSS can deal with the Occupancy directly and cancel on a no show. But its limited to just some basic options. You simply configure this on the panels webserver.
If you want to use sensor in room logic or get analytics from fusion I would program it from a control processor but I believe the panel set to O365 can also talk with fusion and get occupancy and base rules/alerts |
Re: ETC EOS IP Interface
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI¡¯m assuming given the formatting you are sending this as if it¡¯s an OSC packet to the OSC input on the EOS. OSC is a protocol spec that is fairly in-depth unfortunately just sending that as a string directly doesn¡¯t work. For the full spec:?There is however a UDP listener for non OSC which I¡¯d recommend. Look at the manual on page 33.? On Jun 12, 2020, at 6:39 PM, F David A Coker <david.coker@...> wrote:

ETC EOS IP Interface
Has anyone out there interfaced a Crestron with an ETC EOS system?? The RPU that we have is the Ion Xe.? We are on a job and it keeps telling us that the packet is too large.
I have a single TCP/IP Client and I am sending /eos/sub/900/full to the transmit.? Any help would be greatly appreciated because the install guys are running out of ideas. thanks, |
Re: Apple TV Audio issues
By chance have you figured out the URL scheme to open that app from the Crestron App?

Scheduling Question
Ok, I've done scheduling with Fusion symbols and Fusion and the 9-yards.? I'm familliar with that method.
Now, I have a new one, that uses a TSS-7 and an occupancy sensor.? No Fusion and not tying into program.? Want native scheduling, but client also has occupancy sensor (which also seems to tie into TP directly).? Will this allow the the logic to release the room in case of no-show, or is Fusion needed to do that? My understanding is that for simple show/no show stuff the sensor would tie to TP and TP native scheduling would be able to handle it.? If analytics is needed, or the room logic needs access to sensor as well, then you'd have to roll with Fusion.? Is my assumption wrong on this? -- Jason Mussetter Control Systems Designer Mussetter Programming Services |
Re: Apple TV Audio issues
Yeah, it's definitely on the AppleTV side. Ultimately, when I DMRESETSLOT, it essentially drops the connection and restarts the HotPlug so that it resync's the connection.?
Ahh, the Digital Age!!? I said it back in 2005 - "the Digital Age means....? ?Nothing Works...." Unfortunately, the recommended article, which was great, Missed a detail about FORCE CLOSING apps. it mentioned 2xClicking the HOME button, but that just toggles from the home screen to the screen saver... I found out from another article that you need to 2xClick the 'TV/Home' Button (the button with the TV icon on it). this will bring up all the open Apps and you can swipe right/left to select and swipe up to force close. Swipe functions of coourse are generally not available to us with IR, CEC or some/Most? IP integration... In a related story, I just started using the Apple TV Remote App on my iPhone, just for service and when I have to add/change logins, etc.? It's a Huge improvement over just using the Nav Pad controls... |
Re: Planar Simplicity series 4K LCD. Model SL6564k
I believe the data integrity error is happening on many modules, and it was caused by a recent?"fix" with the compilers, I heard something that a more recent updated fixes that.. The power On problems sounds like a setting on the display that turns off the control port to conserve energy.
As far as modules written by Control Concepts, many don't know that you can call them directly for support. |
Re: 2N doorstation and Crestron App
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýYes, you add a TCP/IP server to your Crestron program to catch the event and send it to an SIO symbol.? You point the 2N to your Crestron processor IP address and you trigger the 2N on the doorbell.? You fill in the string you want to send to the Crestron in the 2N gui.? It is that simple.? 2N tech support is pretty good, so call them if you have any questions. The HTTP package is a one time charge per 2N door box -- unlike the iPad interface which is a monthly charge forever and ever.??? You point your web browser to the IP address of the 2N, log in, and add the license key.? Before you enter the license key, you will see the HTTP option in the 2N gui but it will be greyed out.? After you enter the key, you can select it. ? On 6/12/20 1:21 PM, Jim Germany via

You need to purchase the optional HTTP package for the 2N doorstation.? That will allow the 2N to send a http request to your Crestron processor when the door bell button is pressed.? This is the exact solution I need.? No video or ringing on IPAD, just a digital signal in the processor to trigger audio events. I'm assuming you added a TCP/IP server to your program to catch the event.? Steve, care to share the details with me? I'll contact 2N and inquire about the optional HTTP package. Thanks, J |
Re: 2N doorstation and Crestron App
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýIf you want the 2N to ring on an iPad, you have to install the 2N app on the iPad and then subscribe to month fee per iPad to enable that feature.?? The 2N app does not need to be running to ring the iPad -- it will automatically come up when the door bell is press.? It is however cloud base -- so if your internet is down, it won't call the iPads.? Also, when you have a large number of iPads (e.g. >10), I find it kind of unreliably. The other issue I have with the 2N iPad App is the ring tone is quite annoying on the iPad.? We later switched to using http request to the Crestron MC3 to play a wave file (door sound followed by the name of the door bell press) over the house audio system. On 6/12/20 12:53 PM, nathan via

Re: 2N doorstation and Crestron App
I think the iPad has to be awake, with the Crestron App active, for that to work - although I've never tried it.

I've also never worked with 2N, but I think it can send an HTTP event to the Crestron processor, so you could trigger your logic that way. --- On Friday, June 12, 2020 at 1:34 PM, Jim Germany wrote: |

Re: Planar Simplicity series 4K LCD. Model SL6564k
Crestron doesn't directly develop, many things on the application market Jim. For instance, the Planar VM series module is a Control Concepts module. It would not surprise me if most of the Planar modules are done by them. Crestron never fixes their modules and they will just tell you that the bugs in their modules won't cause any issues. If you want a module that compiles cleanly, and doesn't run like garbage, then you are better off building your own.?
