Cannot get Crestron Home to recognize DIN-CENCN-2

Hi,

I am trying to get Crestron Home OS3 to recongize DIN-CENCN-2 devices.? ?I can see them in toolbox, and device discovery tool, but they are not recognized in Home OS3.? ?Has anyone encountered this?? ?I am running the latest release of Home OS3 and also the latest firmware for the DIN-CENCN-2 devices.

Any help is greatly appreciated it.

Thx

TPS-6X & HPRFGW

I was doing some quarantine cleaning and found a TPS-6X and HPRFGW.? They were taken out of a seldom-used install and are in great shape.? Not sure of the condition of the batteries in the TPS, but they've been replaced at least once since it was new.? Includes dock for the TPS.

Would like to get $50+shipping for the set, but no reasonable offer refused.

Email for pics or with any questions.

Nathan,

There's a Discord channel for CH5 that might give assistance.?

Re: TSW Flash

RE: the MAC address, I believe you can open the disk image in a hex editor and search for the mac address sequence of the "donor", and replace it with the mac address of the "target" device.?

I've done both with Contract Editor and with simple joins with both the same result.?

2 things Hydro-Spa hot tub control and rec for a reliable steam room thermostat.

I have a older Hydro-Spa hot tub that I'd like to control remotely.? The main control board is Balboa I think.? It has 2 ports (8P 8C) that lookes like ethernet.? The top down controller plugs into one of the ports.? Anyone ever figure out how to control these?

The other is I'm looking for a reliable thermostat to control and monitor a steam room in a unattached structure.? Could be wireless but there's no problem running it hard wired.
Would like to be compatible with a 2 series processor

Hi Nathan,

I¡¯m using CH5 Contract Editor generated classes ?and passing string works fine, in my case panel has it¡¯s own independent from control system theme and language states and setting in S#Pro:

tsw560Contract.UI.Language((sig, component) => { sig.StringValue = @"en"; });

While at panel level:

CrComLib.subscribeState('s', 'UI.Language', (lang: string) => {
this.currentLang = lang;
});

Receives event instantly and translate interface momentarily¡.

Good afternoon all,
I've been dealing with CH5 in Angular since they first allowed us to join the crestronlabs forum for it. Over the last year I've updated and rechecked my test UI's, and recently i noticed an issue. Back when CrComLib was still at 0.1.0 the CrComLib.subsribeState('s', '1', (text) => { this.message = text; }); worked great. Everytime I'd update StringInput[1] in Simpl Windows or Simpl# it would display on the panel. Now i've run into the issue where it doesn't update UNTIL you issue a command to CrComLib, either by publishEvent or getState. I've been trying to get ahold of Crestron to figure out why this is, and even their Angular?NgCh5HorizontalSample UI (just modifying the header to remove the image and put my {{ message}} tag there) it does the same thing. If you tap on the theme change or anything else to send a new CrComLib, the header finally shows the text i sent from Simpl.

If anyone is having this issue or knows why, please let me know. I've been trying to figure it out for over 2 days now.

This sounds kinda similar to plain old vtpro seeming to not display default serial text until it¡¯s sent text manually. Not sure why

Samsung Ethernet Control

Hi All,

I am looking to control a Samsung QB55R via ethernet, are there any good known working modules in the App Store or in the files section?

Thank you

Re: TSW Flash

That's cool idea. We've had frequent failures of TPMC-4SM's years ago, and I was told that we need to send them in even for card replacement. They were not willing to send us SD cards just to pop them in. I thought about copying it, but never tried.

Re: Crestron SIMPL Program and Fusion Server Communication #crestron

The GUID being unique is the most important thing for the processor connection. There is also a Fusion SSI design guide which I would highly recommend reading to understand best practices.

SSI can ensure that even if you use the same program, the GUID is unique. Unfortunately, you will have to change the room names in Fusion if you use the same program across multiple processors. But at least the GUIDs will not be the same, which is all that matters.

If you get stuck, Fusion Support Group (FSG) at Crestron are fantastic. They have always been very helpful.

Re: Upgrading an existing residential Crestron system

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Correct, it?s actually just three TPMC-V15 installted in the system, the rest are ¡°non-TPMC¡±-panels which don?t support SG.

Thanks for pointing this out.

?

However, I need some more advice on the business side, how to design the proposal for such a project.

The customer had a look at the Lamina theme from Ultamation and loves it.

I had a great chat with the guys from Ultamation (thanks for the great support so far) who gave me a runthrough about how to integrate the theme.

In the first place, the customer just wanted a bit more modern look of the GUI, but with basically the same (old fashioned) logic behind it ¨C e.g. all panels are more or less room-centric.

A lot of stuff is based on just page-flips. So majority of work would be just working with VTPro, no need to touch the control unit (there are three) programming.

Plus, if sth wasn?t working with the old GUI, it wouldn?t work with the new one which would be detectable pretty easily.

?

With the Lamina theme, I?d need to change a lot in the programming ¨C change a lot of stuff to XPoint-routing, dynamic lists, etc.

Basically, a complete rework of the panel logic in addition to changing the GUI itself. Plus adding new GUI functionality that wasn?t possible with the old GUI.

?

How would you handle such a project?

Any advice much appreciated!

?

Regards, Thorsten

?

There were two flavors of ¡°V¡± panel ¨C the ¡°straight V¡± with no prefix (e.g. V12, V15) ¨C these required a DGE-1 or DGE-2 (or bodge of a DVPHD with DM-TX) to function as they were just a touch-sensitive display with DM classic connectivity. Neither the DGE-1 nor the DVPHD supported SG.

?

There were also the TPMC-V panels (e.g. TPMC-V12 and TPMC-V15) which looked virtually identical externally (except for the connectivity) to the straight V panels but didn¡¯t require (in fact, cannot use) an external DGE ¨C with something along the lines of a DGE1.5 built in (adding SG support to the composite video support of the DGE-1 but not much else)

?

This was a blurry line for ¡°V15¡± and ¡°V12¡± frequently being used as shorthand for the TPMC-V-equivalents

Pretty sure the V15 can only do smart graphics is you also have a DGE-2. For the rest of it sounds like you already have a plan. Replace old TPs with new and upgrade to 3 or 4 series.

Re: TSW Flash

I've done it before when I had a batch of over 60 TSW552s where the SD cards failed. I used a tool call HDDRawcopy. and started with the card out of a freshly reset/initialised panel and it worked a treat.

Re: EISC - Communication #crestron

Edited

A UDP bus is a great universal alternate to EISC (real time and if using a master/slave setup) Add an address byte to deal with which processor needs to process the request. If you use a UDP socket in SIMPL or SIMPL+ put the 255 in the last octet of the IP address it will send to and listen from all devices.

Samsung QB75N-W Interactive Whiteboard

Hi all,

Has anyone done one the the QB75N Samsungs before?? This model has the built in touch overlay and whiteboard function.? It has buttons on the front of the panel to activate the whiteboard and I've not been able to find a way to get any feedback as to when the whiteboard is active or not.??

Have done 1 before and had the same issue that I never managed to work around.? ?Crestron Connect/MDC IP/RS232 control all work fine with the usual commands but I cannot find a command to turn on the whiteboard, nor a response string to give fb when the whiteboard is active.? Querying the input status of the display just returns the last input that was selected prior to whiteboard.?

Its not the end of the world, but if someone has worked around this before, advice would be greatly appreciated!?
