I have seen this before. IIRC I had to go to Windows Explorer - folder properties and check/uncheck Read-Only and then apply to all sub-folders. OR maybe check then apply then (un)check again and apply, something like that

HTH good luck

Re: Problem opening files after recovering them SIMPL

Hi Derek,

if you can send an example to support@...?we¡¯ll see if we can see what¡¯s wrong - SIMPLified won¡¯t be able to fix anything, but might be able to tell what¡¯s wrong.

best regards,
Oliver

Re: console command via Simpl

Make sure you have special symbols turned on in your Simpl preferences if you want to find it in the folders, should you forget the speedkey.

Lutron QS

OK...help me out here...
Processor is CP3 latest FW
Existing Lutron Homeworks QS system on latest FW
Latest Crestron modules downloaded from Lutron
License acquired from Crestron for processor and loaded successfully
Crestron module set to IP?
User name and password and IP given to me by lighting guy is verified working via Putty
TCP chinga set to port 23 and seems to connect fine
When viewing the situation in toolbox it appears as if the module never completes the login process...it stalls out at LOGIN:? but never appears to send the login information and times out.

I am currently onsite if anyone could provide any insight on what may be the issue...thank guys, be safe out there.

Re: Problem opening files after recovering them SIMPL

I've just noticed it's not just all my programs, I had notepad files with notes in there none of them are opening either :(

Re: Problem opening files after recovering them SIMPL

All the archived and complied zip folders are bringing up errors.

So I can't import the archived folder.

I haven't shut it down recently either. Having some very strange things happen of late. Crestron Studio refusing to install but and Crestron have raised a ticket as they couldn't fix it remotely for me.?

I have back ups of a lot of the files but not of the last 4 months :(

Default Router problem with Pro2

I'm working on a project with a seemingly invalid Default Router on a Pro2.? There is one set - the DEFR command in Text Console returns 192.168.5.1, which is correct.? Trying to ping that IP address from the same session says that the connection is dead.? The error log shows the following:
Error: Unable to detect Gateway ... defaulting Hostname Resolution to DNS
? ? ?TimeStamp: 11:15:02? 3-30-20? ?UpTime: 0 days 00:00:19.50? Task: UDP_Serv
?
Interestingly enough, Toolbox works fine and connects to the processor from a PC on the local network, and several EISCs to other processors (another Pro2 and an RMC3) work perfectly.? The primary problem is that connecting to this Pro2 over a VPN doesn't work.
?
I tried changing the default router to another address then back again, but that didn't fix it.?
?
Pro2 is running the latest firmware - 4.008.0026.
?
Has anyone seen anything like this?? Next time onsite I plan to Initialize/Restore/Reboot and hope that fixes it.? Are there any other settings I'm missing?

Re: Problem opening files after recovering them SIMPL

Also try renaming the file?

Re: Problem opening files after recovering them SIMPL

Try deleting the SPIsWork folder.?
Also try an ¡°import archived project¡±?
surely you must have compiled and have a zipped folder of your project?

Re: Problem opening files after recovering them SIMPL

Hope you have a backup.

Have you hard shutdown your computer recently?

Hi All,

So I've had a problem. I lost all my programs (large folder) but recovered them from the laptop and now the files won't open.

When I select the smw file to open a program it goes to SIMPL and says?

File Error
Invalid file signature, extension, access rights or filename length.
File must be a SIMPL Windows Program File (.smw)
a Project/User Module (.umc)
or a User SIMPL+ File (.usp)
Must be writeable
and name less than 255 characters long

From the error above All filenames are correct and I don't know what the file signature means

Has anybody ever come across this and maybe knows the solution to fully recovering all my files?

Thanks in advance,
Hope everyone is safe from the virus

I have replied to your email several times. I think there is an email issue on your mail (Maybe junk). Anyway the unit I had is dead sorry. Sounds like the other replies are better anyway.
