Fusion and Amazon

Hello friends,

Does anyone know if I can run Fusion on Amazon Unifi?

Is it possible to run in a virtual machine?

Thank you.?

Re: Sony SRG-300H controlling over IP not saving presets

Hi,
Good to hear that you had success on recalling the presets.
I struggled with the same OSD thing for some hours, received a hint:
At least one of the momories contains lens position AND further settings, including OSD setting. If I remember right, this was memory 1.
To solve the isse, you have to turn off OSD, then save to reset 1.

Best regards

Re: Microsoft Surface HUB locking up

Just watch for HDCP issues with newer macbooks.? you might want to also change the autosharing or set the system up to not output HDMI to the hub all the time, but wait for someone to click on a button.? That way, it does not try to auto share all of the time.? I have seen mine get stuck in a loop.

I am just starting on a project that involves controlling a Microsoft Hub with a DMPS3-4K-150-C.? If anyone has any further information/resolution on the issues mentioned in this topic please pass it on.? I will not have access to the Hub before the install date and I would like to be as prepared as possible.

Re: Shure MXA910 protocol details

I don't have a module, I usually only control the LED color through them rather than anything else like volume or actual muting.? Most of that type of control I prefer to do directly on the DSP system, but clients like the LED to track red/green when muting it, so I mute on the DSP and then just send the command to turn the LED color to red/green to match the mute state on the DSP.

I only use simple SIO for this, as there is nothing more to it than the commands.

Re: Laptop labels in Conference room

I've used the color swatch like that before for wireless mic identification.? It was a room where operators controlled the mic volumes from the touch panel for a big council chambers type room, and while the wireless mics were numbered, when someone had one and was holding it, in a large room it was not visible to the operators using the touch panel which wireless mic they were holding.? So we color coded the bottom (like in live sound) and then added the color swatch to the button to help identify it.? We still had the number labels on each mic and button as well, "Wireless Mic1" style label, plus a color swatch (easy "primary" colors, red, blue, yellow, green).

As Lincoln mentioned, using this by itself to ID the correct item probably falls out of ADA compliance due to colorblindness.? But having it in ADDITION to another type of label can definitely help and be a good idea.

Re: Lyntec Power Control

I have controlled them, but not bothered to put it into a module.? Literally used an SIO and a TCP Client.? It does ask for a user/password, but it's all plaintext so I literally send the username when the SIO reads 'Login:' and the password when the SIO reads 'Password:'.? All the commands need a \x0D\x0A after them.

Re: Sony SRG-300H controlling over IP not saving presets

I was finally able to get the presets to save to the camera memory once I added the header to the VISCA string, thank you for pointing me in the right direction. The interesting thing about this is that there is a display "Information Display" on the video output that is an onscreen confirmation every time a preset is either saved or recalled. This happens even if you use the IR remote. In the menu you can turn off the "Information Display" but it will only stay off for one preset recall, then it turns itself back on. Same is true if you send it the VISCA command. I have placed a call to Sony Tech support to ask if this is a "Feature" . While this is not perfect, it allowed me to get the job done.

The header that I have to place in front of the preset VISCA commands was?\x01\x00\x00\x09\xFF\xFF\xFF\xFF

I also had to send a "Stop" command after the preset save or recall, otherwise it would not recall the next preset.

The Stop command was?\x01\x00\x00\x09\x00\x00\x00\x42\x81\x01\x06\x01\x05\x05\x03\x03\xFF

I feel pretty sure that the Preset Save / Recall within the module is related to how the module is processing the feedback for the Absolute Position Inquiry. I will look into this once I can get a camera in hand to do further testing. I ran into this a few years back with the Sony BRC-Z330 camera.?

Thanks again for all the help.

Are there Mic gain controls through sliders?

Has anyone created or worked with a Lyntec RPC Remote Power Control Panel.?? Curious if anyone has written a module for the device or has any feedback on utilizing.??

Thanks!

Re: Extron SMD 202 Module

Devices uses the SIS protocol, the protocol is pretty easy and you can put something together pretty quickly

Foolproof until you get someone who is color blind, or the label gets peeled off J

I¡¯ve had a couple projects where color (bonus points for picking from the palette of corporate identity colors) has been used as a secondary cue, e.g. ¡°Laptop 1¡± on a yellow button, ¡°Laptop 2¡± on a green button, ?etc. but leaving it just to color with no other means of identification is a bit risky.

In the past I have seen dealers putting a color code in the cables and then simply put that in the touchpanel button. Its foolproof. See screenshot.

Extron SMD 202 Module

Has anyone written a module for an Extron SMD 202 streaming media player?? I have checked both this group and the Labs forum site and can't find much of anything.? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Polycom Skype for Business Control

Team, the Polycom module? I have been testing is posted as Alpha on Crestron Labs Forum under
Forum/Crestron Lab Programs/Crestron Platforms/Drivers/Polycom Group Series Driver Posting - Alpha Release.?
It's alpha but it's pretty complete in my opinion. Still needs some adjustments. I'm running the current version in my production environment using a local directory and having a small problem with the sleep function and the push content button missing, but have already reported it and got confirmation they are working on it.?
Enjoy. Bill

Re: Free Fusion

I'm pretty sure I did not take the same exam as you. I am on a different continent and at the time of my exam things were handled a bit differently over here.

Every participant got a VM to work with. Nothing wrong with that, it only required more preparation beforehand.
