Re: Polycom HDX Calendar Meeting

Group series uses the same api for calendar info.
I have a module I'll be going live with next week.?

Happy to share if you'd like

Re: LG Signage Tile Modes?

Thanks for the info. How do you get to the service menu in these?

Re: Polycom HDX Calendar Meeting

Contact polycom. They have a module for the hdx, but not the group series.

Re: Latest SWAMP firmware: Added doorbell feature capabilities

Has anyone been able to make this work? Do you trigger the zones to turn on and switch to the doorbell by hitting the "Doorbell Enable On"? The when doorbell wav file is done, hit the "Doorbell Enable Off" to return to previous source?
Any help is appreciated.

Make sure your bit rate down too.?

I have another client that live in the middle of nowhere with a bonded dsl to get 12M down and his up is let than 1M.? His cameras are setup exactly the same except for the frame rate is 400.? His cameras only take about 5 seconds to show.

thanks for response.? i can say on this particular install we are down to 320 by 240 and a frame rate of 10 by 128 kbps, well below the recommended settings and it still takes 20 seconds remotely.

Thanks Chip, figured it out. Found the Q24 api and modeled after that, what a pain! I cant believe you did that all in SIMP+ ... thank god for SIMPL#!

Re: Kodi Commands

Thank You. I wasn't aware of that.

I have got it all working pretty good thus far. I'll see what more I can get out of it in debugger. I've found, through different forums, examples for what I was looking for. Seems the POST command I put earlier isn't all needed. I'm now using for example?{"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"Input.ExecuteAction","params":{"action":"rewind"},"id":1} for rewind and using the same for all commands, just changing the action based on the action list for basic controls. I can launch directly to pictures, music and videos/files with GUI.ActivateWindow. That one took longer to get figured out. Next I want to try to tackle launching specific sub menus of add-ons. Not knowing anything about json a couple days ago I'm learning as I go. At least it's for me and not having a client pushing things.

LG commercial LCD module with volume feedback

Does anyone happen to know of an LG rs232 module that has a working volume feedback for the current crop of LCD panels. The various modules available all work for control and basic feedback, but the volume fb ramp just sits at 0d. I checked the modules posted on the group and those didn't work for volume fb either. Anyone come across a module where this works? We are using the MB-P10 keypads in some rooms with these and actual volume fb would be nice for the ramp graphic above the knob. There isn't a way I know of to directly set volume on the tv at startup so I could make a simulated feedback, or to read current volume level in any format I know of. Curious if anyone found one that works. For reference the model we are using is an LG 55lw340c

On a related note for anyone this may help, we just integrated the PTZOptics 12X USB camera with the RL2. It's fully detected and controllable by the RL which I wasn't expecting as it's not on Crestron's list.?
The camera has simultaneous HDMI, USB and IP feeds for video and a module for RS232 that works. At this point I couldn't be more pleased with it. It's detected and controllable by the Skype interface and it seems RL is no exception.?

We even have it going through an Extron USB SW switch and CAT5 extender, switching between a table laptop, local PC, and the RL along with a DSP-1282 also connected to the USB hub. Both the camera and dsp are detected and work through all 3 devices including the RL.?

We initially wired the camera for USB control from pc and laptop only, with an hdmi to USB video converter for the RL. That's why we needed a camera with simultaneous hdmi and USB outputs. But once we started testing we found that the RL detected both the camera and dsp through the 3.0 port on the back as well (even though the directions state to only plug a USB camera into that port). It wasn't our intention to use it that way, but it turned out to work. It's a new install so we have more testing to do, but I wanted to pass that on. At a minimum the RL does both detect and control the PTZ optics camera. So we have simultaneous USB and 232 control. The initial startup page on RL with the test pages both displays and controls this camera.?

Re: LG Signage Tile Modes?

So, UPDATE, for anyone else trying to get these to work. There is apparently a service menu on the particular display I am working with that includes a setting for 'auto off' when no video is present. It's set at a ridiculous delay of like 2-3 seconds by default.

The setting overrides any 'eco' settings in the regular menu, so basically in a nutshell... Try the settings in the regular menu all you want for the obnoxious instant shutoff, nothing will work until you set it in the hidden menu.

Also, tile commands will not work when the set is off, so I would turn the set on, issue commands, and then go to issue a second set of commands, only to find the set would refuse them. Working remotely, I couldn't get the full picture of what was actually happening.

Once I got that rectified everything worked fine.

This has been fixed in Smart Graphics 2.12.12.3 FYI and was released 2/22/17

Hi,

Has anyone used a serial driver to control these shades? I looked into the crestron modules and serial drivers and can't find one. How are people getting feedback from the QConnect interface? What module are you guys using? C

If someone has it and is willing to share it here I appreciate.

Re: CO2 Sensor - Crestron Readable

Not sure if it will work for you but you can get a trigger from something like an Awair monitor that there is high CO2 through IFTTT. ?IFTTT supports a number of air monitoring devices.

Hello

Can someone refer reliable carbon-dioxide sensor that is readable by Crestron. Need to measure indoor CO2 levels to activate Fresh AIR system.

Re: Sharp LC60LE661U volume ramp issue.

I have my own module I've been using for the dozens of Sharps I've done, and until recently that's pretty much all we've used. I have an "enable polling" digital I almost never use, with a pacing parameter defaulted to 6s. I've never had an issue on any model but the 661, with IP or serial. The only polling I do no matter what is a single delayed power poll to confirm true FB after a power on/off.

Thanks for the suggestion and I'll take a look at the timing, but the pair I got called about today have been fine for the last year and a half or so, and now every time you turn them back on you get No Signal until you cycle power.

I wish they hadn't sold off and just kept making the 745 or whatever it was. We've been having good luck with Samsung DM even though setting up Roomview Connected is kinda clunky and the pictures on a pair of them don't even remotely match out of the box.

Re: Sharp LC60LE661U volume ramp issue.

I don't believe in luck but apparently I jinxed myself. Two more went down today, but at least they're only (both) in a private executive conference room...
