Re: Help!!! Remote CP2E Processor locked up!

Very important rule to follow...Don't do anything remotely with a processor without at least one of the following two things put in place:

1- Have someone on site to immediately deal with a locked up or unreachable system.
2 - Let the client know that you will be connecting to the system and there is a chance that it will go done until you can get back out to the site.

Re: Latest SWAMP firmware: Added doorbell feature capabilities

Hi Ross, thanks for the suggestion and this might work but I have no unused zones and I think if I implemented something like that the feedback is gonna show a zone as always being on the way most modules work, probably cause confusion.

Re: SIP camera to IPAD app

You can do this with Mobotix cameras and the Mobotix app however I am not so sure about integration with the Crestron app, I know some programmers were able to get a TPMC-4SM-FD working with the Mobotix T24/T25 doorstation but not sure about the other models.

Can you keep an unused zone on 24:7 at 0 volume? ?

I just tested this the past hour and my doorbell is working again but *only* if I add a 4.5 second delay before my Play Doorbell sequence, if I don't do this and all zones are OFF then I never hear the doorbell at all.

Basically when the interrupt is pulsed I guess its turning on the amp so all zones are ready however in the past the amp was in a state where it would play right away.

The revision history for the firmware says this?

Firmware?SWAMP24X8: v4.002.283411084

Perhaps this new firmware they created makes things faster for doorbells IF you have at least one zone on but if not it slows down everything by at least 4 seconds.

Another example of how this slows things, I notice now when I turn on a room and choose a source such as AM/FM that it takes about 4 seconds for audio to be heard from this source IF all other zones are off, before I would choose AM/FM and it would turn on immediately and you hear the audio in about 1 second.

I'm pretty sure anybody using the interrupt feature will notice that announcements, doorbells, chimes etc may not work that same as they did before if they upgrade to this firmware, time will tell.

Re: Latest SWAMP firmware: Added doorbell feature capabilities

I tested this again, the CEN-TIA is connected to Cresnet and not?Ethernet and works fine but I believe the problem has to possibly do with the new firmware turning off the amp *power* when all zones are off, I don't think it did this before.

So now with the module I was using with an interrupt the *only* way it works now is I have to turn on a source in *any* zone and only then can I hear when the doorbell is pressed, I will test using a delay of say 4 seconds to give the amp time to power on.

I'm not sure how this firmware would speed up doorbells and the interrupt IF the amp now is powered off when all rooms are OFF, if this is the case I doubt it made things faster and in my case it broke something.

CEN-TIA I am using has work fine since 2009, was working fine just hours before the firmware was upgraded also.

SIP camera to IPAD app

I have a client who wants to put a camera in the kids playroom, and be able to view and talk TWO WAY to the kids in that room via Crestron App. ?There are no speakers in the room.

I was thinking a SIP cameras with audio might fit the bill. ?Anyone have any recommendations or pitfalls to avoid?

Re: Using CEC with DM8x8 to my SamsungTV

Georges Tabet

Dear?

I am wondering if you can send me the codes for Samsung Anynet + CEC I m using DM-MD 1616 with DMC-HDO and DM-RMC-200
I tried the Crestron module it is not working.
Anynet+ is on on the TV?

Regards?

No sorry! Only PON and POF and HDMI 1 - 4 worked.
Could you choose the Source TV by CEC?

Re: MC3 - remote Ethernet slave & a local program; at the same time?

Just use a EISC. Why 2 MC3's?

Re: BACnet

Yeah that is a bit?different and a perfect case scenario, you have a controller that the thermostats connect to.?
You communicate with the main controller unit, it communicates with the thermostats.
My Situation consists of a thermostat wired directly into the Damper unit itself..

Not sure what type of damper unit you are connecting to; I have 5 HAI thermostats connected to a Honeywell zone controller controlling 5 dampers with all of the HAI tstats being controlled through a serial port on a QM-RMC and the QM-RMC talking to a CP3N.....works fine

Looked at the install instructions for the HAI Thermostat and seems to be design for a standard HVAC Unit.

I need it to control a single zone Damper unit.

Thanks anyways. I appreciate the suggestion.

Re: Emailing from 3-Series

Crestron's IP address is added to the whitelist, it just rejects the email because Crestron is trying to authenticate with blank username and password. ?I'm going to try using a 2-series first. ?Hopefully that'll work. ?Otherwise I will try the TEK 3 solution.

Re: Emailing from 3-Series

Since you have a server available already, you could install an SMTP relay on the Fusion server that accepts mail from localhost:25 and sends it via TLS/SMTP AUTH to the appropriate host.

We came across this with Fusion. We were not doing exchange integration and wanted to send mail. Fusion only supports SMTP on port 25. There is no way to change it or enable higher forms of authentication. The only work around was to add the Fusion server to the whitelist and allow it to communicate to the mail relay.

Re: Text Entry Field Example (Smart Graphics)

Thanks for the response. I'm away from the office without benefit of a processor, so I am not able to test with an xpanel.?

Re: Latest SWAMP firmware: Added doorbell feature capabilities

I'll check this tonight when I'm free, thanks for the tips.

Re: Latest SWAMP firmware: Added doorbell feature capabilities

it sounds like it might be your CEN-TIA. ??Go into Toolbox and try and try and play the MP3 file and monitor the status. ??I had problems a while back with one running on ENET and had to move it over to Cresnet to make it work reliably. ? ? When it did stop playing on ENET, I could always get the CEN-TIA to work after a power cycle, but just too unreliable for me.

Re: MC3 - remote Ethernet slave & a local program; at the same time?

I would use Ethernet Intersystem Communications in SIMPL Windows given that you have 2 MC3s. ?Works awesome.

Just curious.

We have a MC3 in a house running a surround sound system. There is Ethernet running out to their garage which they're turning into an office with a small surround system. I have a Din-switch in the garage for their landscape transformers.

Since we can't do cresnet over a slave box.

Is it possible to use the garage MC3 as a remote Ethernet slave for the AV. Then use a slot on the MC3 for a small D3 lighting program and to talk to the DIN-SW over cresnet?

I know it's possible to have an AV program on slot 1 and lighting on slot 2. Then RSD to the main house MC3. Just wondering if it's possible to use the MC3 as a slave box for AV and also use another slot for lighting/cresnet?

Thanks in advance

Re: Help!!! Remote CP2E Processor locked up!

Yeah tried that and it is a no go. ?I rebooted the AV2 and noticed that someone turn the TV back on so I connect the customer to flip the switch in the cabinet and got the CP2E back on line.

Re: Latest SWAMP firmware: Added doorbell feature capabilities

This firmware has broken my previously working doorbell, I am using a room module with interrupt that worked for years now and it works with a CEN-TIA to play a mp3 file but now it seems when I press the doorbell I don't hear my doorbell but if I turn on say AM/FM in a zone and press the doorbell I?then hear it and then it turns off that source and if I press the doorbell again it doesn't work.

Is it possible to revert my SWAMP to the older firmware to fix this? I seriously doubt Crestron will help resolve this and I really don't have time to track down whatever is causing it, before the wife realizes and the bitching starts :-)
