Re: Avielo optix SuperWide 235 Barco/ProjectionDesign
From what I see from the universal module, setting input commands look like this:
"\xBE\xEF\x03\x19\x00\xBC\x2F\x01\x01\x44\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x09\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00" But when I look into the manual of the Avielo Optix Superwide manual, they look like this: ":IABS7\r" or "\x3A\x49\x41\x42\x53\x07\x0D" so perhaps their protocol has changed? Any ideas? Thanks, Dan |
Samsung TV suddenly not responding to Power
Heath Volmer
Client has a Samsung TV that's been installed for a few years. It is no longer responding to power on or power toggle (to on) when it's off - usually. (DMRMC100C which worked fine for 12-18 months). I can sometimes send a long power or power on pulse and get it, but not really. If I touch power on the front of the unit, it behaves the same. The only reliable thing I can do to turn it on is to hold the power button on the front of the TV for about a second, at which point it beeps and then fires right up.
Any ideas? I'm thinking that the TV is messed up. I can drive all other functions, including power off just fine. Heath |
Re: Avielo optix SuperWide 235 Barco/ProjectionDesign
Thank you I'll try it out.
I can already see that some commands for HDMI are missing so I'll probably have to create them manually into the module. Any chance someone has an updated version of this module? Perhaps via a TCP/IP control protocol? Thx, Dan |
Install Simpl and Toolbox MBP / Parallels
Hi,
I've searched the group and see that many have had success with MBP running Parallels.? Any secret to getting Simpl or Toolbox to install?? I get error after error.? Stuff like Unable to register DLL/OCX RegServ32 failed with exit code 0x3.? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Gary |
Re: Absolute Humidity / Calculate "Power of x" in SIMPL+
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi, Thanks everybody for your advice! :-) I went down the lookup table lane. My first attempt didn't work out, as the array seems to have been too big... the 41x71 array was too much. SIMPL+ would neither find an error nor put out a warning. It just didn't link the compiled file, while SIMPL Windows gave an error that the Crosscompiler might not be installed... Now that I have scaled ?down the integer array to 31x31 everything works as desired! Thanks again to everybody for your support! :-) Markus Von meinem iPhone gesendet

Re: OT: MS OneDrive
I tried using automatic backup systems with managing my firm's code at one point.
IMHO, it wasn't even close to worth it. ?I would much rather use a guided commit system like SVN or GIT. We've been using an SVN repository structure for over a year now, and it seems to be working very, very well for us. ?We don't have issues with losing files, we don't have to worry about pausing things to prevent file errors. ?I have version control and user control (If someone breaks something, I have a real trace back to the last person that made edits) and we are able to recall earlier versions of the code with little effort. If you're really gung ho about automatic updates, you can write a bash script and force it to run before shutdown that commits all files to their respective repositories. |
Re: 3 Series Multiple Programs - Tips, Tricks and Issues
Wow, I didn't know they went back to the Amiga. ?In v11, they put in something I'd been wanting for a long time - a separate navigation bar for each lister rather than a common one. ?I was thinking if a script could be written maybe using power shell and that SDK Crestron released to FTP a file over and then do the progload command.

Re: New DSP
I agree with all of the above posters regarding the Tesira Line. One thing to keep in mind if you are planning on creating a room standard is that Biamp is planning on phasing out the Nexia line very soon, atleast this is what I was told during Infocomm14 at the Biamp booth. Tesira line will be replacing it. Great product.

One nice feature of the TesiraFORTE line is the USB I/O. You can connect it up to a computer that is running Skype or Lync and then use that application to do your conferencing, using the far superior AEC and processing available in the TesiraFORTE instead of the processing in the PC. You can run up to 8 channels of audio through the USB connector in either direction. On Fri, Sep 26, 2014 at 3:05 PM, Bob Smith sbob1123@... [Crestron] <Crestron@...> wrote:

We work with both systems and the Biamp is by far superior.? We are currently installing The Biamp Tesira line and it is far superior in AEC convergence for ACS and VCS applications, it is also far superior when it comes to feedback suppression for voice lift scenarios.? Clearone is also out to lunch in there costing right now.? AVB provides super flexibility for large systems or for application where you need to install external mods in a teaching podium for example.? Crestron integration is a breeze!! We are looking at voice and program plus the Crestron app. ? VTC would be another application also.
