Re: NEC NP-PA500U Intermittent communication

The NP-PA500 has the Crestron Connected module in it will communicate "natively" with the processor over IP.?

Re: NEC NP-PA500U Intermittent communication

Perhaps its a scaling or offset issue? ?I am hoping to look at my system either tomorrow or perhaps next week. ?When I confirm what the "actual" lamp hours are on the devices vs what the module is saying perhaps we can find the root of the issue.

On another note, have you tried controlling one of these NEC projectors over IP? ?Just working up a backup plan if the ones I have been working with decide to lock up the COM boards again.... ?Can the same modules / API be used for IP controls?

Re: iPad streaming video

Are you using MJPEG or H.264? ?H.264 is supported on TSW panels but not on the iPad App.

Re: Cisco C20

I unsuccessfully tried the same. The C20 is cisco's "portable" system and ir was the most reliable way to control it. I usually suggest the C40 if given the opportunity just because of the control aspect.

I tried to control a C20 TC4.2.1 yesterday with the Y cable and was totally unsuccesfull. ?Not sure what went wrong. ?CP2E processor.. ?think it will have to be IR control.. ? pins 2-3-5 to processor ??

Re: NEC NP-PA500U Intermittent communication

I have recently observed the same thing on several different systems using different projectors (not all NEC projectors but all Crestron modules).? I haven't figured it out.?? I even have one doing it using Crestron Connected for control!

Re: NEC NP-PA500U Intermittent communication

After having some more time to work with this system, now the communication to the projectors appear to be solid. ?However when using the NP2000 module, it appears that the lamp hours are not correct. ?Anyone seen this before, or do I need to change the command for lamp hour polling? ?Thanks in advance.

mlx-3

it's my first time to use the mlx-3 remote. the home theater i'm programming consist of:

2 displays

-TV?

-Projector with a motorized screen that goes down in front of the TV.

2 sources?

-popcorn hour media player controlled via IR

-cable box controlled via IR

-bluray player

up/stop/down shades

5 group of lights (3 dimming, 2 switching loads)

how would you guys program the remote for easy use for the client?

i'm new to this scrolling list navigation.

Re: Capture HD Reset

I wasn't aware the front USB ever worked on any firmware version. The problem is you can't set the IP address from the front panel. I told Crestron about this since they first shipped. When you set the IP from the front panel it sets the subnet mask to 255.255.255.255 and you wont be able to connect.

iPad streaming video

I have a tsw-750 that perfectly streams an IP cam, but my iPad running Crestron App can't seem to stream the same video. Nothing appears. I just used same logic.

Re: 3 Series Multiple Programs - Tips, Tricks and Issues

Sure you can ftp over mobile projects - at least for edits.? I'm not sure if they have fixed the issue of no manifest.xml (?) created when you first FTP over a mobile project.

We do a lot of mobile projects and you cannot ftp transfer those projects. On larger files loading those projects can take 8-10mins, using SSH those transfer complete in roughly 1 min.

Aside from an encrypted connection are there any other benefits to SSH?

Re: 3 Series Multiple Programs - Tips, Tricks and Issues

One thing about the beta Toolbox is that it unzips the .spz on the computer side and sends multiple files; sending via FTP unzips on the processor side, which (IMHO) saves time on the computer, allowing me to more quickly do multiple loads.

Re: SIMPL Compilation error

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

I would try opening the corresponding SIMPL+ files (.USP) and recompiling them and see if that helps at all ¨C the DLLs you listed look like they¡¯re SIMPL+ for 3-series compiled output.

Subject: [Crestron] SIMPL Compilation error

Newbie question, so apologies if it is foolish...

?

I have been working on some modifications to an existing SIMPL programs for a while without issue. My PC recently had a hard disk failure, so having replaced and rebuilt the system, I re-installed all the Crestron software I had been using and now my compilations fail with a number of LGCMCVT283 Errors, each relating to a DLL that it is looking for in the SPlswork directory; in total there are 10 DLL's that are referenced, including:

iPort_v05_03.dll

Integra_CDC_3_4.dll

tstat_temp_display.dll

tstat_sch_2_3.dll

tstat_temp_display_v1_1.dll

TxtLimit.dll

If I compile using D3 I receive 283 errors relted to some different DLL's missing. The DLL's definitely are not present in the SPLsworks folder. I tried Crestron support and they directed me to uninstall and reinstall all the programs and when that did not work, uninstall all the programs, clean the registry (I used cclean on their advice) and reinstall all the programs, all of which wasted a ton of time. So I thought I would turn to the group to see if anyone has a solution. Any ideas?

?

Many thanks for any help you can provide.

Floyd, the best I have come up with is to store things in the Site manager, but it's a global address book and not entirely practical and it doesn't bring up a set of tabs. ?Helpful if you're constantly accessing the same things always.

Does anyone know of a way, in Filezilla or any other FTP program, to save a set of tabs as a "site" so that you can reload the tabs, with source and destination directories already set, from a saved config file?? That would save the couple minutes it takes to get all your connections setup the next time you are on the jobsite.

(I sure as soon as I send this, Yahoo will suddenly send me six emails with similar advice already delivered, but just in case...)

Those dlls all correspond to some S+ modules in your program, and they are generated at compile for 3-series.

The first thing to try when having compiling errors (beside moving away from the Dropbox folder if you have one) is deleting the contents of the SPlswork folder.

Re: 3 Series Multiple Programs - Tips, Tricks and Issues

One that I'm playing with is WinSCP. ?The nice thing about it is that you can click on a site and open a Putty session, meaning it's easy to give it a command to load the program once you have FTPd it.

Re: 3 Series Multiple Programs - Tips, Tricks and Issues

Don't know about Filezilla, but the Directory Opus program I mentioned can save a tab group and restore it later. ?You can save tab groups ("listers") as different names, so you can have different ones.
