Re: Computer Monitor as TV
http://www.bolandcom.com/product/sel27/ or they have two other 27¡± models ?:) $$$ ?:( From: "chris.anello@... [Crestron]" <Crestron@...> Reply-To: <Crestron@...> Date: Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 9:46 AM To: <Crestron@...> Subject: [Crestron] Computer Monitor as TV ?
Have an opening that needs 27-30" Display, and there are no 1080p TVs out there in this size anymore. We have used Computer monitors before, and with DM where the signal sensing turns the display on to that input. Can no longer get that model, so looking for solution. we can do a relay to control power, but with the inputs available on some of these models, is there a consistent way to make sure it goes to the HDMI that we need it to? Anybody have any options/solutions? thanks |

usb-ext-dm lan communication
I have a system with a Microsoft ppi board and 2 local pc's. The problem is that I cannot get the Crestron USB-EXT-DM's to pair over the network. I can connect them directly together as an extender, but as soon as I hook them through the dhcp router, nothing. I have used the module in simple windows and addressed the local unit in the pairing section..... nothing. Any hints or input would be appreciated. |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýCan anyone speak about the behavior of this keypad. ?Specifically when plugged in. ?Is it on and ready to go instantly like it needs to be? ?I'm talking about "100%".I have several MNET versions of these in a project and they often drop offline for many seconds when the homeowner first presses them. ?Not cool. ?I would like to replace them if the EX version is better. ?I have a bit of EX stuff around this huge house which will help the signal flow also. Re: 552 Panels
Ok - To followup, I was running firmware?Version 1.000.0025 on all the panels which was released back in June or July if I remember. ?They recently released?Version 1.000.0038. ?One of the bugs fixed: "Corrected issue where some larger Smart Graphics projects would fail to load". ?Dont know if that specific bug did it, but all panels were running same firmware and they all locked up at around the same period of time.
Took a little bit of TLC (I had to Recover 1 panel, and a few more needed a couple of reboots). ?I was able to get most of the panels with the newest firmware up and runing again. ?One is being replaced by Crestron as it wont go into recovery mode. ?I spent most of the day getting them back online, but it least Im back up and running. ? |
Re: Duplicate Extenders when Refresh Smart Graphics
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI think what may be going on is that when you do a "Save As" to save your existing project under a new file name is that you have the checkbox "Unlink Smart Graphics Extenders from previous file" checked.? It is my understanding that Crestron that internally Crestron uses GUID's to identify each Smart Graphics element so that when you load an updated file simplwindows can match each element up with the extender in your simplwindows program.? With this checkbox checked VTPROe creates all new GUID's so they won't match anything in your simplwindows program and you get the behavior you are describing.?Hope this helps Jay On 9/4/2014 5:44 AM,

Re: Duplicate Extenders when Refresh Smart Graphics
Just happened to me again
i have 2 iPads (iPad.vtp) made some changes and it duplicated & commented out all the smart objects had to drag/copy & delete - just time consuming for something stupid no idea what triggered it (updated SIMPL & libraries since last vtp compile) ?mark |
Re: Crestron App with D3Pro
You have 2 options:?
You can program everything in SIMPL Or you can program the lighting in D3 and use the second slot in a 3 series processor to do a D3 EISC to SmartGraphics pass through.? If you're using a 2 series processor option 1 is the only thing you can do unless you get a QM-RMC to bounce the smart graphics off of.? |
Matrox Monarch streamer to TSW streaming video window
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHas anyone run across one of these and know what the magic handshake to make video show up on a TSW panel is? ? There¡¯s on the project I¡¯m onsite with this week (an unannounced sub for another box) and all of the settings ¡°look right¡± (and I just confirmed settings in the VTP against a different project using a DMCO 7 card) and the stream opens in VLC player, but I don¡¯t get video on the panel. ? Re: 552 Panels
I RMA'd a 1052 last week. Installed in the wall the TEMP command reported over 100¡ãC for PMIC device and 85¡ã+C for the other temp. Connecting the panel on a 10¡¯ cable direct to the switch solved all problems. Temps reported were near 70¡ãC for both. Putting the panel back in the wall on a less than 80' run, and it ran hot again and froze after the loading smart graphics screen, with the white ball going back and forth. The PoE switch (Cisco SG300-28P) was nowhere near capacity. Had over 120w available still. Chris

Re: Duplicate Extenders when Refresh Smart Graphics
I think my problem is that Simpl is not referencing a file name, but some internal code in the file. ?I tend to edit one panel and then save as to all the other panel versions so I don't have to go through each panel to make the changes.
So, my question now is this... do I need to reference a 1052 or 752 or whatever panel file in Simpl or can they all reference the Xpanel for smart graphic purposes? ?They all have identical programming and smart graphics. ?That way, I can always edit the Xpanel and it can keep it's internal code thing and it won't matter that the others have new internal code thingies. (That's a technical term) |
Re: Neew help with a JVC PS-840UD
I was working with one of these last week, and thought I would just use IR for control, so I downloaded their PDF with the IR codes listed in Pronto format.? But, it turns out the geniuses at JVC have locked down the PDF such that you can't copy/paste from it.? What idiots.
I may have to get serial working instead, but I haven't spent much time looking at it yet. As an FYI, the HDMI-UHD60 mode works a little different than what I was expecting.? There are 4 separate HDMI inputs grouped together on the side that are used for the UHD60 mode, in addition to the HDMI1-3 inputs.? (I realize I would have known this if I had looked at the manual prior to receiving the unit, but alas, I did not.) My sales dude sold the TV as having the ability to to "quad screen" from 4 different outputs on the DM switch, but what caught us off guard is that the display will only accept 1080p signals on the HDMI-UHD60 input.? If you can only muster 1080i or 720p from a cable box, for example, it will not display anything in that quadrant while in UHD60 mode.? If, on the other hand, everything you are feeding it is 1080p, then you are golden. |
Yesterday's Crestron Mobile for iPhone update fucked up my UI!
Worked for years, ?The Crestron geniuses pushed a new iOS app yesterday now only the 1st page renders and all page flip pages show garbage. Recompiled the app and uploaded... Same result Recompiled the VTPro project and uploaded... Same result. Are they just now enforcing object count in the free version? ? Everyone in my house has their own iTunes account. ?That's $500! ?@#$@#$%@#$%^@#$!!!!!!! |
Re: Remote Access Crestron Mobile iPhone APP
Do you have a C2ENET-1 or a C2ENET-2 card? The C2ENET -2 card has NAT routing for a sub network... (http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/setup/admin.ssi) I would make sure your internal network is setup correctly... I always use canyouseeme.org to check WAN ports after forwarding them to verify the service provider isn't blocking them... Another possible issue could be the IP table in the processor... setting the IP to the Phone on the local network will only allow local connections... I currently use "03 000.000.000.000 slave 00 server"... I hope this is helpful...
